A downhole workover tool includes an elongate, cylindrical body having opposing lower and upper ends and defining an interior sized to receive a selected portion of a wellbore tubular via the lower end, and a plurality of insert tools receivable within a corresponding plurality of insert chambers (cavities) provided about an outer circumference of the body. At least one of the plurality of insert tools provides slips operable to grippingly engage an outer circumference of the selected portion of the wellbore tubular and thereby prevent the upper portion of the wellbore tubular from reversing out of the interior once received therein. The tool is then operated to mechanically or chemically cut the selected portion of the wellbore tubular.

External intervention downhole drilling and workover tool

A debris removal system includes: a drill pipe disposed within a borehole including a threaded portion disposed longitudinally above a bottom hole assembly (BHA). The threaded portion includes at least one spiral notch that wraps around the drill pipe. An outer diameter of the threaded portion of the drill pipe remains constant throughout a longitudinal length of the threaded portion.

Presented herein are apparatus and methods that alleviate incidence of stuck pipes in downhole environments. In some embodiments, the apparatus and methods described herein include a drill pipe for drilling operations including: a dissolvable layer deposited on a portion of an outer surface of the drill pipe; and a tunnel connected to the dissolvable layer.

A rotary dynamic system includes: a drill pipe; a bearing coupled at a first axial end to the drill pipe; and an outer sleeve coupled to a second axial end of the bearing. The outer sleeve rotates independently of the drill pipe.
