A gel material for oil and gas conformance control operations is provided. The gel material includes a plurality of gel material components including polyacrylamide, triamine silica, and nanosilica which are added in suitable amounts to form the gel material under a gel formation condition. The present technology replaces and/or supplements conventional crosslinkers and provides enhanced polymeric gels, such as, for oil and gas field applications including wellbore strengthening, loss circulation materials, and water shut-off applications, at high temperatures. The present technology is compatible with fresh and high salinity water.

Polymeric gels for oil and gas conformance control applications and methods of making same

A method for preparing PAM with the aluminum-based crosslinker is provided. The method includes diluting the PAM with deionized water; adding the crosslinker gradually while stirring at room temperature; sonicating in a water bath; adding HCl and KOH to adjust pH; and testing compatibility with salts.

Acid-tolerant aluminum-based gel formulation for conformance control and preparations and uses thereof

New formulation for pyrite scale removal from oil and gas wells and a method of pyrite scale removal are disclosed. The chemical formulation is composed of KBO-4HO, in a concentration of about 9-20 wt. % of the composition, preferably about 14 wt. % of the composition. The new formulation has the ability to dissolve pyrite without generation of the toxic HS. Furthermore, the new formulation is cheaper and has very low corrosion rate compare to 15 wt. % HCl with corrosion inhibitor. The disclose method uses the disclosed new formulation to dissolve iron sulphide scale, performed at about 100-150&#xb0; C. and about 500-2000 psi.

Iron sulphide scale removal from oil and gas wells using green formulation

Provided herein are compositions and methods useful for the treatment of wastewater comprising colloidal impurities. In certain aspects and embodiments, the compositions and methods include a natural deep eutectic solvent (NADES) coagulant including a hydrogen bond acceptor and a hydrogen bond donor, wherein the NADES is a liquid at room temperature.

Destabilization and separation of high stable colloids

A method of removing an iron sulfide scale from a surface in fluid communication with a wellbore and/or subterranean formation comprising contacting the iron sulfide scale on the surface with a composition to dissolve the iron sulfide scale in the composition. The composition comprises (a) at least one chelating agent selected from the group consisting of DTPA, EDTA HEDTA, GLDA, CDTA, and MGDA, and salts thereof, and (b) at least one converting agent selected from the group consisting of potassium carbonate (KCO), potassium formate (HCOOK), potassium hydroxide (KOH), potassium chloride (KCl), cesium formate (HCOOCs), and cesium chloride (CsCl). In the composition, the weight ratio of (a):(b) lies in the range 7-60:2-20.
