Methods performed by a wireless device and a base station for adapting maximum allowed Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) based on operational occasion periodicity are provided. In examples disclosed herein, a wireless device is configured to determine an operational occasion periodicity of a signal that is subject to CCA. Accordingly, the wireless device can determine an association at least between the determined operational occasion periodicity and a maximum number of allowed CCA failures for communicating the signal. The wireless device can then perform one or more operational tasks based on the determined maximum number of allowed CCA failures. By determining the maximum number of allowed CCA failures, the wireless device can obtain information about downlink CCA failures and use the obtained information for adapting measurements procedures in serving cell operational tasks.

A wireless device is configured for use in a wireless communication network. According to certain embodiments, a method by a wireless device includes receiving, from a network node, a first indication of a system information data and broadcast status associated with on-demand delivery of the system information data. The wireless device transmits a request for the system information data to the network node while the wireless device is in Radio Resource Control, RRC, Connected Mode. Based on the broadcast status, the wireless device receives the on-demand delivery of the system information data from the network node.

Methods and procedures for enhanced on-demand delivery of positioning assistance data

In an example arrangement, a base station () serving a wireless device () controls the activation time for transmission by the wireless device () of aperiodic or semipersistent Sounding Reference Signals (SRS), but accounts for an activation-time recommendation made by a location server () with which the serving base station () provides its timing information. The arrangement allows the location server (), which has a view of the overall timeline, to recommend an activation time while still leaving the serving base station () in control of the activation time, which the serving base station () shares with the location server (). A method, system and apparatus for semi-persistent channel state information (CSI) reporting procedures with uplink (UL) clear channel assessment (CCA) are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method includes receiving a signal indicating activation or deactivation of semi-persistent channel state information (CSI) reporting and responsive to receiving the signal, attempt to transmit a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request Acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK), the attempt being subject to success or failure of a clear channel assessment (CCA). When the CCA fails and when the signal indicates activation, the method includes refraining from CSI measurement and reporting unless CCA subsequently succeeds before expiry of a time interval. Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for energy detection in unlicensed spectrum. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a radio node includes determining a maximum channel occupancy time (MCOT) value; and listen-before-talk (LBT) parameter settings, the MCOT value and/or the LBT parameter settings for one or more LBT parameters depending on an energy detection (ED) threshold value used to access a channel in an unlicensed spectrum; and performing a LBT procedure to gain access to the channel and a transmission on the channel according to the LBT parameter settings and the MCOT value. In one embodiment, a method in a network node includes configuring a wireless device with a MCOT value and LBT parameter settings, the MCOT value and/or LBT parameter settings depending on an ED threshold value used at the wireless device to access the channel.

Embodiments include methods performed by a user equipment (UE) of associating positioning signals with beams transmitted in a wireless network that includes a location server and a base station. Such methods include receiving assistance data from the location server. The assistance data includes a configuration of positioning signals to be transmitted by the wireless network and information identifying at least one relationship between the following: one or more positioning beams that carry the positioning signals, and one or more radio resource management (RRM) beams that carry RRM signals. A method for performing radio link monitoring comprises performing, by a user equipment (UE), a radio link monitoring (RLM) procedure with first RLM parameters; receiving, at the UE, a message including at least one second RLM parameter; identifying, by the UE, a difference between the first RLM parameters and the at least one second RLM parameter; and resetting, at the UE, at least one of the first RLM parameters in response to identifying the difference between the first RLM parameters and the at least one second RLM parameter.
