A gas turbine engine includes a compressor having first annular connection structure at a forward end portion of an air inlet housing of the compressor. The gas turbine engine may also include intake ducting having second annular connection structure adjacent a central passage of the intake ducting. The first annular connection structure and the second annular connection structure may form at least part of an interface between the air inlet housing and the intake ducting during operation of the gas turbine engine. The first and second annular connection structures may have shapes allowing the first annular connection structure to be moved through and beyond the second annular connection structure in a forward direction, the forward direction being opposite a direction of compressed air flow in the compressor during operation.

Gas turbine engine and system for servicing a gas turbine engine

A system for moving an auxiliary component of a gas turbine engine is disclosed. The system may have a mobile support platform configured to support the auxiliary component during operation of the gas turbine engine. The system may further have at least one guide assembly operably connected to the mobile support platform and configured to guide movement of the mobile support platform. The system may also have a drive assembly operably connected to the mobile support platform and configured to impart movement of the mobile support platform between an elevated position and a lowered position.

A power system includes a gas turbine engine, which may include a gear box. The gear box may include a pipe connection configured to receive a removable pipe. The power system may also include a moveable support configured to fasten to the pipe connection to at least partially support the gear box.

A power system includes a gas turbine engine. The gas turbine engine may include a first portion, a second portion, and a longitudinal axis. The power system may also include a first moveable support engaged to the first portion of the gas turbine engine. The first moveable support may be operable to at least partially constrain movement of the first portion of the gas turbine engine during operation of the gas turbine engine. Additionally, the first moveable support may be operable to at least partially support the first portion of the gas turbine engine as the first portion of the gas turbine engine is moved away from the longitudinal axis independently of the second portion of the gas turbine engine.

Power system

A gas turbine engine assembly includes a gas turbine engine mounted on a three-point mounting frame. The three-point mounting frame includes an engine support structure having first and second beams in a V-configuration, and a secondary support structure that is positioned about the engine support structure and has a rectangular footprint. The frame may include a Y-configuration that includes the V-configuration, and may be implemented in a machine mounting system, such as in a marine vessel.

A gimbal includes a first lug housing. The first lug housing includes a first base plate and a first lug protruding from the second surface of the first base plate. The gimbal also includes a second lug housing. The second lug housing includes a second base plate and a second lug protruding from the second surface of the second base plate. In addition, the gimbal includes a shaft passing through the first and second lugs, thereby connecting the first lug housing to the second lug housing, such that the first base plate is facing the second base plate. The gimbal also includes a first void in the second base plate, opposite the first lug, such that the first lug extends into the first void of the second base plate.
