The invention described herein addresses the security shortcomings in existing Supervisory Control Systems (SCS), inclusive of but not limited to CAN Bus, SCADA, DCS, HEMS and IoT. The invention references U.S. Pat. No. 10,367,794 B2 Sayers et al., which is improved by the addition of a Validated Transmission data system, a Receiver Validation data system, and redundant links, which may be comprised of but not limited to technologies such as fiberoptics, time division multiplexing, frequency division multiplexing, various radio frequency links inclusive of TDM, OFDM, and CDMA modulation schemes, and a novel scheme for validating transmissions through self-generated tables by network elements.

Method for using redundant encryption to secure data in supervisory control systems

One embodiment of this invention describes a method and apparatus for the use of Machine Learning to efficiently detect, identify, prevent, and predict cyber-attacks on Low Power and Low Complexity Sensor(FIG.) networks that have low data transmission requirements, something that all current Machine Learning techniques are unable to accomplish due to numerous restrictions when applied to Low Power and Low Complexity Sensors. Low Power and Low Complexity Sensors are frequently found in various Internet of Things (IOT) network architectures. The IOT is a network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and connectivity which enables them to connect and exchange data, providing more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems. However, this should not restrict the applicability of any potential embodiment of this invention as described in this patent application. A further understanding of the nature and the advantages of the particular embodiments disclosed herein may be realized by referencing the remaining portions to the specification.

Method and apparatus for producing a machine learning system for malware prediction in low complexity sensor networks

One embodiment of this invention describes a method and apparatus for the secure identification and validation of low complexity sensors or devices on a network. In addition any data transmitted between the sensors/devices to/from the network is secured by means of encryption techniques. The method as described herein is intended to protect and secure sensors/devices that might transmit limited amounts of data and have reduced levels of onboard processing power. However it could easily be adapted to other types of networks to provide comparable levels of security and protection. A further understanding of the nature and the advantages of the particular embodiments disclosed herein may be realized by referencing the remaining portions to the specification and the attached drawings.

Method and apparatus for securing a sensor or device

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for the communicating between remote devices using a low message rate wireless connection via monitoring, control and information systems. The network described in this invention is capable of supporting billions of such devices in an efficient and cost effective manner. The network uses a very low signaling rate and centrally controlled architecture in order to achieve this efficiency. The network can easily support numerous applications each controlling large numbers of devices. As the complexity of protocol used in the network is very much reduced in comparison to existing hierarchical mobile wireless networks, it is possible to produce devices that use very little energy allowing their use in many new and novel applications.

Method and apparatus for communicating between low message rate wireless devices and users via monitoring, control and information systems

A wireless networking system uses mobile and fixed transceivers to achieve a network with changing topology. A routing process includes quality-of-service considerations in the network to allow for features such as file or other data transfer, streaming audio and video, digital telephone communications, etc. The routing process adapts to transceiver units entering, leaving, or moving within, the network. A system for providing a fast access channel is disclosed. The system includes a transmitter configured to transmit a first long contention symbol and one or more subsequent long contention symbols. The first long contention symbol is followed by the subsequent long contention symbols. The system further includes a receiver configured to receive the first and subsequent long contention symbols and determine a contention code and a contention channel transmitted with the contention code based on the first and subsequent long contention symbols. Each of the first and subsequent long contention symbols includes a long cyclic prefix and a number of identical contention symbols.

Method and system to providing fast access channel

A communications system extends over a cellular region formed of a plurality of wireless cells where each cell covers a portion of the cellular region. Each cell has a station which is responsible for communication with the cellular subscriber. In order to for the call to be properly managed in the public cellular domain, responsibility for call handling and processing must first be managed by the public MSC. Call handling with the public MSC for a private cellular subscriber first requires the exchange of information between the two systems. This is facilitated through the exchange of MAP and A interface signaling between the private and public cellular systems. Since this information on the private network is normally transmitted via IP, this information must be converted to standard SS7 based MAP and A protocol signaling in order for the public MSC to process.

Method and apparatus for interconnecting a private cellular network to a public cellular network

A system for identifying an optimal route in a network is disclosed. The system includes a destination node having an associated node address, a source node having an associated node address, and a number of intermediate nodes each having an associated node address. The intermediate nodes include a number of neighboring nodes associated with the source node. The source node is configured to select one or more of the neighboring nodes to receive a route request. The selection of the selected one or more neighboring nodes is based on the location information associated with the destination node and the selected one or more neighboring nodes. One or more of the selected one or more neighboring nodes propagate their route requests received from the source node to the destination node along one or more routes.

Method and system for providing location-based addressing

Method and apparatus for integrated wireless communications in private and public network environments

A communication system formed by a private network that includes a private wireless network. The communication system includes a public wireless network using a public wireless protocol, such as GSM, and includes public networks, such as PSTN, ISDN and the Internet, using a wired protocol, such as 1P. The private network also includes a local area network (LAN) and the private network connects to the public networks using a wired packet protocol, such as IP. The public and private wireless networks operate with the same public wireless protocol, such as GSM, and the private wireless network additionally operates with a wired packet protocol, such as IP. The communication system permits users to operate freely in both public and private wireless networks using standard mobile stations while achieving high private network data rates. The communication system uses normal wireless handsets or other mobile or fixed stations without need for any modifications.

Method and apparatus for inter-cell handover in wireless networks using multiple protocols

A technique for implementing Special Call Services (SCS) to extend wireless system functionality to include private emergency or other types of service-specific special calls in a private network. In a preferred embodiment, the capability is implemented by taking advantage of certain service type elements that may be coded in the Radio Resource Management (RR) functional layer channel request message and/or the Mobility Management (MM) functional layer call request messages in a Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication system. Specifically, an establishment cause field in a RR channel request message and/or a service type field in a MM request message is used to request such services from the network. These establishment causes and service types can be defined, but not limited to, using those codes currently defined as reserved by GSM Version 4.08, Section 9.1.8 and Section 10.5.3.3. Thus, these newly added codes do not require any re-programming of the deployed GSM equipment and impact on their current operation, either. A GSM system that implements the invention preferably contain a Radio Resource (RR) functional entity that watches for a newly added SCS causes and takes them into account when granting physical resources to the requesting unit. Such actions may include, but are not limited to, dropping a normal call-in-process in order to accommodate the SCS call if there are no free physical resources left, prioritizing SCS calls in progress, or other techniques for allocating a physical channel to the SCS channel request. Such techniques may include allocating radio resources which are reserved in advance for the SCS cause.

Private emergency or service-specific call approach in GSM systems

A method for determining direction of transmission using an antenna array having a number of panels is disclosed. Each panel is configured to receive signals. According to one aspect of the method, each of the panels is directed to receive signals from a transmitting node. For each panel, a first table having data representing received signal power difference between the panel and a first neighboring panel and a second table having data representing received signal power difference between the panel and a second neighboring panel are built. The panel with the maximum received power is identified. For the identified panel, a first gain table and a second gain table corresponding to its first and second neighboring panels are searched to identify a first transmission angle and a second transmission angle, if any. A transmission angle relative to the transmitting node is determined using the first and second transmission angles.
