A tip end conductor for an inner conductor of a coaxial cable, comprising a first portion engaging a first region of the outermost tip to mechanically engage the inner conductor and a second portion, axially inboard of the first portion, engaging a second region of the outermost tip to electrically engage the inner conductor. The first and second portions define first and second diameter dimensions, respectively, wherein the first diameter dimension is less than the second diameter dimension, and wherein the first portion of the tip end conductor includes a mechanically irregular surface for being press fit onto, and producing, a mechanical interlock along a first region of the terminal end of the inner conductor.

Center conductor tip

A power divider including an input port receiving an electrical power input, a coupled port transmitting a portion of the power input, and a transmitted port transferring a remaining portion of the power input from the input port. A first conductor produces an electrical field and electrically connects the input port to the transmitted port. And, a second conductor, disposed within electrical field of the first conductor, electrically connects to the coupled port, the second conductor. The first and second conductors are configured to be variably spaced to vary the coupling factor between the input and transmitted portions of the input power.

Adjustable power divider and directional coupler

A jumper cable having an end prepared for connecting to a coupling assembly. The prepared end includes an inner conductor, an outer conductor having a helical outer surface contour, and a dielectric core disposed between the inner and outer conductors. A weld washer: (i) threadably engages the helical outer surface contour of the outer conductor, (iii) receives a deformed edge of the outer conductor through an opening in the washer, and (iv) is penetration welded to deformed edge of the outer conductor. Operationally, the face of the weld washer augments the flow of electrical current to electrically ground the outer conductor to the coaxial cable connector.

Coaxial cable device having a helical outer conductor and method for effecting weld connectivity

A coaxial cable device and method for establishing weld and mate connectivity across a coaxial cable. The device includes an outer conductor engager and an inner conductor engager wherein the outer conductor engager includes a weld interface for engagement with a first portion of a coaxial cable, and wherein the inner conductor engager includes a mate interface for engagement with a second portion of the cable.

Coaxial cable device and method involving weld and mate connectivity

A seal member disposed within a coaxial cable connector comprising an annular body portion having an outer diameter surface and an inner diameter surface, and a plurality of flexible segments disposed along the inner diameter surface, extending radially inward from the inner diameter surface, wherein the flexible segments are configured to conform to a helical outer conductor and fill a valley of the helical outer conductor, thereby effectuating an environmental seal around the helical outer conductor is provided. A coaxial cable including the seal member is also provided. An associated method is further provided.

A coaxial cable connector comprising a connector body having a first end and a second end, wherein the connector body is configured to receive a coaxial cable through the second end, a first cooperating surface disposed within the connector body, wherein the first cooperating surface is a surface of a clamp, the clamp is configured to threadably engage an outer conductor of the coaxial cable, and a second cooperating surface, wherein the second cooperating surface cooperates with the first cooperating surface to collapse an outer conductor of the coaxial cable, wherein at least a portion of the second cooperating surface malleably deforms to a variable axial thickness of a non-uniform collapsed portion of the outer conductor is provided. An associated method is also provided.

Connector assembly having deformable surface

A connector comprising a connector body having a first end and a second end, the connector body configured to receive a prepared coaxial cable, the prepared coaxial cable including an outer conductor and a center conductor, a clamp disposed within the connector body, the clamp including an internally threaded portion and a ramped surface, wherein the clamp threadably engages the prepared coaxial cable, a moveable ramped component disposed within the connector body, the moveable ramped component including an internally ramped surface, and a compression member configured for axial movable engagement with the connector body, wherein, upon axial compression of the compression member, the outer conductor flares out and is pressed between the ramped surface of the clamp and the internally ramped surface of the moveable ramped component is provided. Furthermore, a clamp and an associated method are also provided.
