A display device including a display panel and a driving circuit is provided. The display panel is configured to display an image frame. The driving circuit is coupled to the display panel. The driving circuit is configured to output a gate signal to drive the display panel to display the image frame during a driving period. The driving period includes a first period, a second period, and a third period. The gate signal has a first voltage level during the first period and a second voltage level during the second period. The second voltage level is greater than the first voltage level.

Display device and driving method thereof

A display device includes a display area, a pixel array, a display medium layer, and a color filter layer. The display area includes a plurality of sub-pixel regions, and each of the sub-pixel regions has a length and a width that are substantially the same. The pixel array corresponds to the display area in position. The display medium layer is located on the pixel array. The color filter layer includes a plurality of color resists. The color resists are arranged along a first direction and a second direction different from the first direction. Two adjacent color resists arranged along the first direction have different colors, two adjacent color resists arranged along the second direction have different colors, and adjacent two of the color resists are spaced apart from each other.

Display device

A color filter module is provided. The color filter module is arranged on a display panel. The color filter module includes a transparent substrate and a color resist layer. The transparent substrate includes multiple sub-pixel regions arranged in an array. The color resist layer is arranged on the transparent substrate. The color resist layer includes multiple color resist units. The color resist units are respectively arranged across at least two sub-pixel regions, and the color resist units form a staggered array on the transparent substrate.

Color filter module

An electro-optic display including a first subpixel electrode and a second subpixel electrode associated with a display pixel, and an electrophoretic display medium disposed between a common electrode and the first and second subpixel electrodes. The electro-optic display also includes a display controller circuit in electrical communication with the common electrode and a first transistor associated with the display pixel. The display controller circuit is capable of applying waveforms to the display pixel by applying one or more time-dependent voltages between the common electrode and the first subpixel electrode via the first transistor, where the one or more time-dependent voltages are applied to the first subpixel electrode. The electro-optic display also includes a second transistor in electrical communication with the first subpixel electrode and the second subpixel electrode. A first enable signal activates the second transistor to place the first subpixel electrode and the second subpixel electrode into electrical communication.

Multi-element pixel electrode circuits for electro-optic displays and methods for driving the same

A circuit driving substrate, display panel and a display driving method are provided. The circuit driving substrate includes a pixel array, a first switching circuit, a second switching circuit, a first driving circuit and a second driving circuit. The first switching circuit is coupled to the pixel array through a plurality of gate lines, and receives a first switching signal. The second switching circuit is coupled to the pixel array through the gate lines, and receives a second switching signal. The first driving circuit is coupled to the first switching circuit and configured to output the first voltage signal to the first switching circuit. The second driving circuit is coupled to the second switching circuit and configured to output a second voltage signal to the second switching circuit. The first switching circuit and the second switching circuit selectively provide the first voltage signal or the second voltage signal.

Circuit driving substrate, display panel, and display driving method

A color filter array for a reflective display device includes a plurality of first filter arrays, a plurality of second filter arrays, and a plurality of third filter arrays. Each of the first filter arrays has a plurality of first filter patterns separated from each other. Each of the second filter arrays has a plurality of second filter patterns separated from each other. Each of the third filter arrays has a plurality of third filter patterns separated from each other. Each of the first filter arrays is adjacent to one of the second filter arrays and one of the third filter arrays.

Color filter array for reflective display device

An electrophoretic display device, including an electrophoretic display panel and a display driving module, is provided. The display driving module is coupled to the electrophoretic display panel and is used for driving the electrophoretic display panel. The display driving module generates multiple first grayscale images according to multiple color pixel values of multiple color pixels corresponding to multiple colors of a color image. The display driving module captures multiple grayscale values of multiple locations of multiple first sub-pixels of the first grayscale images according to multiple locations of multiple mask sub-pixels corresponding to the colors in a mask image to generate multiple second grayscale images. The display driving module synthesizes the second grayscale images to generate a synthesized image. The display driving module drives the electrophoretic display panel according to the synthesized image.

An image processing method, including the following steps: receiving an original image signal, wherein the original image signal includes a plurality of original pixel values; identifying an edge of at least one object in the original image signal to generate a contour image signal; and correcting the original image signal according to the contour image signal to generate an enhanced image signal.

An active array substrate includes a substrate and a plurality of pixel structure disposed on the substrate. Each of the pixel structure includes a scan line, a data line, and a pixel electrode. The scan line is disposed on the substrate and extending along a first direction. The data line is disposed on the substrate and extending along a second direction. The first direction crosses the second direction. The data line and the scan line define a pixel region and a first cutting clearance region. The pixel electrode is disposed on the substrate and includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is on the pixel region. Front plate laminate structure and color electrophoretic display having the same

A method of driving an active matrix electrowetting on dielectric device including thin-film-transistors to increase the switching frequency of the propulsion electrodes beyond what is typical for line-by-line active matrix driving. By grouping gate lines and simultaneously driving those gate lines as a gate block, a frame update can be completed much faster and, as a consequence, the overall drive frequency at the propulsion electrodes can be increased substantially. The faster drive frequency improves the performance of electrowetting devices, especially when used with aqueous droplets having a high ionic strength.

Adaptive gate driving for high frequency AC driving of EWoD arrays

Active matrix backplanes including an array of hexagonal electrodes or an array of triangular electrodes. Because the backplane designs route the gate lines along the periphery of the electrodes there is less cross talk with the surface of the electrode. The disclosed designs simplify construction and control of the electrodes and improve the regularity of the electric field above the electrode. Such backplane electrode designs may be particularly useful in electrowetting on dielectric (EWoD) devices and electrophoretic displays (EPD).

The pixel electrode is configured to store a pixel voltage. The data selection line is configured to transmit a data signal. The isolation line is configured to reduce an influence of an electric field of the data signal on the pixel voltage of the pixel electrode. A projection area of the isolation line is overlapped with a projection area of the pixel electrode.
