Process for upgrading a sulphur-containing feedstock consisting of a hydrocarbon mixture substantially boiling in the gasoline range which process consists of subjecting the feedstock to a reforming step and subsequently to a hydrotreating step, and recovering from the hydrotreating step a product substantially boiling in the gasoline range and having increased aromaticity and decreased sulphur content.

Process for upgrading a sulphur-containing feedstock

Process for producing gasoline components from a hydrocarbonaceous feed containing hydrocarbons comprising at least 4 carbon atoms, and hydrocarbons obtained thereby. C. and a p/p.sub.o value of 0.2) of at least 8% by weight of modified zeolite and a pore volume of at least 0.25 ml/g wherein between 10% and 60% of the total pore volume is made up of pores having a diameter of at least 8 nm, an amorphous cracking component, a binder and at least one hydrogenation component of a Group VI metal and/or at least one hydrogenation component of a Group VIII metal. The invention also relates to catalyst compositions suitable for use in said process.

Hydrocarbon conversion process and catalysts

Composition of matter suitable as a catalyst (base) in hydroprocessing comprising a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite and a binder wherein the crystalline aluminosilicate comprises a modified Y zeolite having a unit cell size below 24.35 .ANG., a degree of crystallinity which is at least retained at increasing SiO.sub.2 /Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 molar ratios, a water adsorption capacity (at 25.degree. C. and a p/p.sub.o value of 0.2) of at least 8% by weight of modified zeolite and a pore volume of at least 0.25 ml/g wherein between 10% and 60% of the total pore volume is made up of pores having a diameter of at least 8 nm. The invention also relates to hydroconversion catalysts and processes based on said compositions of matter.

Hydrocarbon conversion catalysts

A process is disclosed for the conversion of a hydrocarbanceous feedstock containing hydrocarbons having a boiling range wherein that an amount of hydrocarbon boils at a temperature of at least 330.degree. C., which process comprises contacting the feedstock with a zeolitic catalyst having a pore diameter of 0.5 to 0.7 nm at a temperature of less than 480.degree. C. and during a period of time comprising less than 10 seconds.

This invention concerns a process for the preparation of a gasoline boiling hydrocarbon from a mixture of hydrocarbons specifically defined. The hydrocarbon feedstock is a mixture of two hydrocarbon oils with the first hydrocarbon oil having a Conradson carbon test value C.sub.1 and % w such that the quotient of C.sub.1 /R is higher than 0.8 and a second hydrocarbon oil having a Conradson carbon test number C.sub.2 such that the quotient C.sub.2 /R is lower than 0.2 wherein R is equal to the reactor carbon requirement for the particular catalytic cracking unit and is between 3 and 8 percent by weight.

Catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon oils from two mixtures boiling above

The performance of used supported silver-based ethylene oxide catalysts is improved by a) washing the used catalyst with water or a mixture of water with a water-miscible organic solvent and b) depositing on the washed catalyst from about 0.00004 to about 0.008 gram equivalent weights per kilogram of total catalyst of ions of one or more of the alkali metals sodium, potassium, rubidium or cesium.

Process for reactivating used silver ethylene oxide catalysts

Silver catalysts providing improved selectivities for the oxidation of ethylene to ethylene oxide are prepared by (a) subjecting a catalyst comprising from about 1 to about 35 percent by weight of silver on a porous refractory catalyst support to a stabilization treatment, and (b) depositing from about 0.00004 to about 0.008 gram equivalent weights per kilogram of total catalyst of ions of one or more of the alkali metals potassium, rubidium or cesium on the stabilized catalyst.
