A vehicle assembly includes a front end module, an upper panel, and a fender covering the upper panel. The vehicle assembly also includes a housing, mounted to the front end module, having a first contour, and a bracket, having a second contour complementary with the first contour, attached with the housing. The bracket generally maintains a position of the headlamp assembly relative to the upper panel during a RCAR Low Speed Structural Crash Test Protocol (Issue 2.2).

A cargo bed management system including a storage system composed of a receptacle integrated into a sidewall of a bed of a motor vehicle and a dividing system that divides or extends a bed of the motor vehicle. The dividing system includes a main panel having a length approximately equal to a width of the bed, and a pair of side panels hingedly connected to the main panel so that the side panels may rotate relative to the main panel from a stowed position where the side panels are integral with the main panel to an extended position where the side panels extend outward from the main panel. At least one bumper is affixed to an end of each of the side panels that are hingedly connected to the main panel such that the bumper increases a length of the main panel when said the panels are in the stowed position. The bumpers compress to secure the main panel and the side panels to the bed.

Cargo management system

An installation is provided in a cargo area of a vehicle for the stowage of a vehicle jack and tools useful in the changing of a wheel of the vehicle. The installation includes a receptacle in a recess in a deck of the cargo area. The receptacle includes an open top container having space to accommodate the jack and the tools. A cover plate across the top of the container covers a portion of the top only, leaving an access opening through which the jack and the tools may be inserted into and removed from the space in the receptacle.

A vehicle end portion includes a right-hand closure assembly, a left-hand closure assembly, an end module, and at least one locating component positioned to locate the end module relative the left-hand closure assembly and the right-hand closure assembly.

Front end for a vehicle and method for making same

The vehicle body of the present invention includes a first body structure formed from a plurality of tube members and a second body structure formed from sheet metal. The plurality of tube members are loosely fastened together so as to form the first body structure. The first body structure is splayed in a predetermined direction, inserted between two sheet metal members of the second body structure and fixedly secured thereto. Since the tube members are not rigidly fastened together, the tube members are free to move relative to one another in a direction lateral to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, thereby permitting for size variation in the second body structure. The tube members are then securely fastened together. The design of the first and second body structures facilitates a welding process wherein the welds joining the first and second body structures may be staggered and offset to further improve the rigidity and durability of the vehicle body.
