A method of analyzing film on a substrate comprises receiving surface profile data obtained from measurements of a substrate having a plurality of discrete regions with one or more film layers; extracting, based on a predetermined pattern of the discrete regions, a plurality of parameters from the received surface profile data, the plurality of parameters comprising one or more parameters of a film layer of each discrete regions, and displaying a user interface. The user interface may comprise a plurality of individual graphs each illustrating the one or more parameters of the one or more film layers for a corresponding subset of the plurality of discrete regions, and a composite graph illustrating the one or more parameters of the one or more film layers for each discrete region of the plurality of discrete regions, wherein the composite graph corresponds to the plurality of individual graphs being overlaid together.

Analysis of material layers on surfaces, and related systems and methods

A method by an electromagnetic device includes determining a pattern of electromagnetic energy absorbed by a load disposed inside a cavity into which electromagnetic radiation is directed and generating one or more maps of the pattern of electromagnetic energy absorbed by the load. The one or more maps comprises an indication of a distribution of heating within the load. The method further includes determining, based on the one or more maps, a plurality of sequences of operating parameter combinations configured so as to heat the load via absorption of the electromagnetic radiation in accordance with a target temperature profile with respect to the load. The method thus includes emitting electromagnetic radiation into the cavity based on the plurality of sequences of operating parameter combinations to achieve the target temperature profile with respect to the load.

Systems and methods for temperature profile control of microwave oven devices

In one embodiment, a method includes, by an electromagnetic device, accessing multiple previously recorded heating maps corresponding to a load disposed inside a cavity, where each heating map indicates a temperature profile change of the load as a function of one or more control parameter configurations, accessing a target temperature profile of the load, measuring a current temperature profile of the load, calculating a difference in temperature profiles between the current temperature profile of the load and the target temperature profile of the load, determining a first sequence of control parameter configurations to heat the load, wherein the first sequence is optimized to yield a temperature rise that achieves the target temperature profile of the load, emitting electromagnetic radiation into the cavity based on the first sequence of control parameter configurations.

In one embodiment, a method includes, by an electromagnetic device, emitting optical radiation on one or more objects disposed inside an interior of the electronic device, where the optical radiation is emitted by one or more radiation sources, capturing a set of 2D images of the one or more objects illuminated by the optical radiation, where variation of illumination or of an imaging process permits the set of 2D images to be combined into a representation of the one or more objects, determining whether the set of images comprises a representation of the one or more objects as imaged, in response to determining that the set of images comprises a representation of the one or more objects as imaged, generating a three-dimensional (3D) spectral data cube of the one or more first objects based on spectral information of the first set of images, and storing the 3D spectral data cube for processing by the electronic device.

In one embodiment, the disclosure provides an interior luminaire system for emulating natural daylight. The system may include an artificial sunlight system and an artificial skylight system. The artificial sunlight system may include one or more first light sources and one or more first movable lenses paired with the first light sources, respectively. Each first light source may be configured to direct light only at the respective paired lens. Each first light source-lens pair may be operable to generate a set of substantially parallel rays of light. The artificial sunlight system may be operable to generate a movable substantially collimated beam of light comprising the sets of substantially parallel rays of light. The artificial skylight system may include one or more second light sources. Each second light source may be operable to generate omnidirectional rays of light. The artificial skylight system may be operable to generate diffuse illumination.

Systems and methods for emulating natural daylight with an interior luminaire

In one embodiment, an electrical device may inject one or more first electrical signals into a resistive layer of a touch sensor. The device may receive one or more second electrical signals each corresponding to a first electrical signal injected by a first electrode. The device may determine, based on the one or more second electrical signals, a vector with each element of the vector corresponding to a value associated with a particular second electrical signal. Each element may depend at least on: a relative location between the first electrode injecting the first electrical signal and a second electrode receiving the second electrical signal, the signal frequency, and a user touch location on the touch sensor. The device may determine the user touch location based on the vector using at least one of a lookup table, a curve-fitting coefficient set, or a machine-learning model.

A method of analyzing film on a substrate may comprise receiving three-dimensional data obtained from measurements of a plurality of pixels on a substrate, the plurality of pixels comprising one or more film layers; extracting a plurality of parameters based on the received three-dimensional data, the plurality of parameters comprising at least an average thickness for the film layers of the pixels, one or more area aperture ratios for the film layers of the pixels, and a pitch between pixels, wherein the extraction is based on a predetermined pattern for the pixels on the substrate; displaying a user interface comprising a graphical representation of one or more of the parameters for the one or more film layers of the one or more of the pixels; and dynamically modifying the graphical representation of the one or more parameters in response to user input of the displayed user interface, the dynamically modifying causing the displayed graphical images to appear as continuously changing.

A method for identifying the chemical species of various textural elements in a targeted region of tissue wherein a volume of interest (VOI) is selectively excited and a k-encode gradient pulse is applied to induce phase wrap to create a spatial encode for a specific k-value and orientation. The specific k-value is selected based on anticipated texture within the VOI. Multiple sequential samples of the NMR RF signal encoded with the specific k-value are recorded as signal data. The Fourier Transform of the acquired signal data is then taken, wherein for each k-encode, the signal recorded is indicative of the spatial frequency power density at that point in k-space. Each peak in the NMR spectrum is then evaluated, whereby the relative contribution to the texture of tissue in the VOI at a k-value for each chemical species is determined.

Backplane structures for organic light emitting electronic devices using a TFT substrate

In the fabrication of a display, such as an OLED display, the OLED layer stack is deposited on an electrode on the substrate. The electrode may be the anode and may comprise indium tin oxide (ITO). Desirably, the deposited films are of uniform thickness over the entire active area of the electrode. If the films are not uniform, then areas that are thicker will not emit light, and areas that are too thin may emit light in a less than optimum efficient way (power loss) and/or result in leakage current leaks through the device in a way that does not generate photons. An active-matrix organic light emitting diode comprises a substrate with a larger well size or wider channel width compared to the emission area. This improves the effective aperture ratio, which improves pixel intensity homogeneity.

Multilayer anode structures () for electronic devices () such as polymer light-emitting diodes are described. The multilayer anodes include a high conductivity organic layer () adjacent to the photoactive layer () and a low conductivity organic layer () between the high conductivity organic layer and the anode's electrical connection layer (). This anode structure provides polymer light emitting diodes which exhibit high brightness, high efficiency and long operating lifetime. The multilayer anode structure of this invention provides sufficiently high resistivity to avoid cross-talk in passively addressed pixellated polymer emissive displays; the multilayer anode structure of this invention simultaneously provides long lifetime for pixellated polymer emissive displays.
