Systems and methods for managing umbilical lines and one or more jumpers are provided. An example of a system includes a deployment platform carrying a winch and spool assembly, a tether management assembly, and an integrated electrical and/or hydraulic umbilical line extending between a spool on the winch and spool assembly and the tether management assembly. The winch and spool assembly is configured to deploy and to support the umbilical line. The tether management assembly includes a winch and spool assembly for deploying a flying lead and/or annulus jumper adapted to connect to an emergency disconnect package of a well control package for a well. A set of buoyant modules are connected to or integral with a portion of the umbilical line to be used to form an artificial heave compensation loop.

Light well intervention umbilical and flying lead management system and related methods

A riser for use in subsea operations that is parked subsea deployed as needed onto wellheads disposed proximate where the riser is parked. A base anchored into the seafloor provides a pedestal for parking the riser. The riser emits a beacon signal so it can be located when needed. When parked, the riser can be kept in a vertical orientation by a buoyancy module mounted on an upper portion of the riser. A workboat, or other vessel, attaches to the parked riser and positions it onto a designated wellhead. An extension connects the riser to platform or other vessel above the sea surface.

Efficient open water riser deployment

A subsea wellhead assembly has the capabilities of communicating from the outer surface of an inner wellhead housing to a casing annulus. A connector, adapted to attach to a riser, connects to the outer surface of the inner wellhead housing, thereby communicating with the casing annulus. The wellhead housing has a passage extending from the casing annulus to its outer surface. The connector has a port that aligns with the passage when the connector attaches to the inner wellhead housing. Fluid can be injected through the port and the passage into the casing annulus. Casing annulus pressure can be monitored though the port and the passage. A seal ring slidingly engages the outer surface of the wellhead housing so that the passage is closed when the connector is not attached. The connector actuates the seal ring to open the passage when the connector attaches to the wellhead housing.

Subsea well injection and monitoring system

An apparatus for performing workover operations on a subsea well that has a subsea production tree with a production passage and an annulus access passageway. The subsea production tree is secured to a lower riser portion. The lower riser portion connects to the tree and has a production passage which registers with a production passage of the tree. The apparatus also has an annulus access passage which registers with the annulus access passage of the tree. The apparatus further includes a monobore riser which extends downward from the surface. A string of tubing, preferably coiled tubing, extends through the monobore riser and defines an inner riser passage and an annular riser passage. A circulation plug is secured proximate a lower end of the coiled tubing and is landed in the lower riser portion of the subsea well. The circulation plug communicates the inner riser passage with the annulus access passage. A flow-by passage is provided in the circulation plug to communicate the production passage with the annular riser passage.

Coiled tubing workover riser

A wellhead housing a supports a string of casing in tension by using a load ring. The load ring mounts to the exterior of a casing hanger which secures to the upper end of the string of casing. The load ring is split, resilient and outwardly biased. The load ring is retained during the running of the casing. The running tool then releases the load ring to spring outward to support the load. The load ring has wickers on its exterior that mate with wickers in the interior of the bore.

Casing tension retainer

A connector for tying back a wellhead (10) to a floating platform rigidly attaches to the wellhead housing (12). It is engaged with the casing hanger (14) through a bellows (86) arrangement. Strain cycling of the connection is reduced while thermal expansion and manufacturing tolerance are readily tolerated.
