An example computer-implemented method includes obtaining an alert from at least one software-defined storage device; determining one or more items of additional information pertaining to one or more of the alert and the at least one software-defined storage device; augmenting the alert based at least in part on the one or more determined items of additional information; generating a modified version of the augmented alert by incorporating, into the augmented alert, dependency information pertaining to the at least one software-defined storage device and one or more additional software-defined storage devices; and performing one or more automated actions based at least in part on the modified version of the augmented alert.

Automated alert augmentation for deployments of software-defined storage

Methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for registering storage hosts for use in automating software-defined storage deployments are provided herein. An example computer-implemented method includes obtaining information pertaining to parameters for accessing storage hosts over at least one network in connection with at least one software-defined storage deployment; processing one or more requests by one or more client devices to access at least a portion of the storage hosts; registering, based at least in part on the processing of the one or more requests, at least one of the storage hosts by persisting data pertaining to the at least one storage host in connection with at least a portion of the parameters; and performing one or more automated actions related to at least one software-defined storage deployment based at least in part on the registration of the at least one storage host.

Registering storage hosts for use in automating software-defined storage deployments

Methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for automatically orchestrating deployments of software-defined storage stacks are provided herein. An example computer-implemented method includes obtaining a software-defined storage deployment request from at least one user; determining a request type associated with the software-defined storage deployment request by processing at least a portion of payload content of the software-defined storage deployment request; orchestrating one or more tasks required for carrying out the requested software-defined storage deployment based at least in part on the determined request type and the processed payload content; and performing at least one automated action based at least in part on the one or more orchestrated tasks.

Automatically orchestrating deployments of software-defined storage stacks

Example embodiments of the present invention provide a method, a system, and a computer program product for creating volumes with data protection. The method includes receiving parameters for creation of a source volume for a host and creating the source volume with data protection according to the received parameters.
