A device for transferring micro-devices from a holding device to a final surface, avoiding damage during the process and ensuring coplanar presentation onto the final surface, includes a first substrate on the holding device. The holding device carries at least one transfer substrate which itself carries a plurality of micro-devices. At least one buffering member is located between the first substrate and the transfer substrate. The buffering member provides a small range of buffering for the micro-devices during the transfer and also compensates for any slight unevenness when the micro-devices are laid on and bonded to the final surface. A method for transferring the micro-devices is also disclosed.

Device for transferring and integrating micro-devices and method of transfer

A micro LED display panel which is transparent to ambient light includes a TFT substrate, a plurality of micro LEDs, a first insulating layer, and a second insulating layer. The TFT substrate includes a first surface and a second surface. The micro LEDs and the first insulating layer are on the first surface. The first insulating layer is transparent. The second insulating layer includes insulating units spaced from each other and made of a light absorbing material. Each insulating unit is on a side of the first insulating layer away from the TFT substrate and each micro LED is embedded in the first insulating layer and in one of insulating units. Regions of the TFT substrate not covered by the insulating layer are regions which allow light to pass through.

Transparent micro LED display panel

A display assembly includes at least two display devices and two image compensating elements at a juxtaposition of every adjacent two display devices. Each display device includes a front surface that is viewed by user. Each front surface defines a display area and a border area. Each image compensating element is on the front surface. Each image compensating element includes a first part and a second part independent from each other, the first part is closer to the border area than the second part. Each of the first part and the second part includes a plurality of light guiding channels extending along a direction from a light-incident surface toward a light-emitting surface.

Display assembly including at least two display devices

A display assembly includes at least two display devices and two image compensating elements at a junction of every adjacent two display devices. Each display device includes a front surface that is viewed by user. Each front surface defines a display area and a border area. Each image compensating element is on the front surface. An optical axis direction of each of the image compensating elements is relatively toward above the juxtaposition of the adjacent two display devices. A light guiding sheet is positioned on the light-emitting surface of each of the image compensating elements; an optical axis direction of the light guiding sheet is perpendicular to the front surface.

A micro LED display panel includes a back plate, a plurality of micro LEDs on the back plate, a first partition wall on a side of the back plate having the plurality of micro LEDs, an insulating layer on the back plate, and a common electrode on the insulating layer and covering the plurality of micro LEDs. The first partition wall divides the back plate into a plurality of light-emitting regions independent from each other. Each of the light-emitting regions is provided with one of the micro LEDs. The insulating layer is located in each of the light-emitting regions and surrounds each of the micro LEDs.

Micro LED display panel and method for making same

A micro LED display panel defines a display area and a border area surrounding the display area. The micro LED display panel includes a TFT array substrate, a plurality of micro LEDs on the TFT array substrate, a common electrode on the TFT array substrate, the common electrode covering and electrically coupling to all of the micro LEDs; a metal layer on a side of the common electrode away from the TFT array substrate and electrically coupling to the common electrode, and a black photoresist layer on a side of the metal layer away from the TFT array substrate. The black photoresist layer defines through holes. Each through hole extends through both the black photoresist layer and the metal layer and aligns with one micro LED. The metal layer and the black photoresist layer cover the display area and the border area.

Micro LED display panel with narrowed border area and method for making same

A method for manufacturing a display panel to comprise light emitting elements which together present a flat and wrinkle-free top surface includes a substrate, a TFT array layer arranged on the substrate, an insulating layer arranged on a surface of the TFT array layer away from the substrate, and light emitting elements arranged on a surface of the insulating layer away from the TFT array layer. Top surfaces of the light emitting elements away from the insulating layer are coplanar. Thicknesses of the light emitting elements are different from each other, and thicknesses of the insulating layer below different light emitting elements are different from each other. A display panel applying the method is also disclosed.

Display panel with LEDs in different thicknesses forming a flat surface and method for fabricating display panel

A high-performance TFT substrate () for a flat panel display includes a substrate (), a first conductive layer () on the substrate (), a semiconductor layer () positioned on the first conductive layer (), and a second conductive layer () positioned on the semiconductor layer (). The first conductive layer () defines a gate electrode (). The second conductive layer () defines a source electrode () and a drain electrode () spaced apart from the source electrode (). The second conductive layer () includes a first layer () on the semiconductor layer () and a second layer () positioned on the first layer (). The first layer () can be made of metal oxide. The second layer () can be made of aluminum or aluminum alloy.

TFT substrate and method for making same

A display assembly includes at least two display devices and two image compensating elements at a junction of every adjacent two display devices. Each display device includes a front surface that is viewed by user. Each front surface defines a display area and a border area. Each image compensating element is on the front surface. Each image compensating element includes a light-incident surface on the display area, a light-emitting surface coupling to the light-incident surface, and a connecting surface coupling between the light-incident surface and the light-emitting surface. Each image compensating element includes a plurality of light guiding channels. Light guiding paths of the light guiding channels extend along a direction from the light-incident surface toward the light-emitting surface.

A thin film transistor array panel includes a first conductive layer () including a gate electrode; a channel layer () disposed over the gate; and a second conductive layer () disposed over the channel layer (). The second conductive layer () includes a multi-layered portion defining a source electrode () and a drain electrode (), which includes a first sub-layer (-), a second sub-layer (-), and a third sub-layer (-) sequentially disposed one over another. Both the third and the first sub-layers (--) include indium and zinc oxide materials. An indium to zinc content ratio in the first sub-layer (-) is greater than that in the third sub-layer (-). The content ratio differentiation between the first and the third sub-layers (--) affects a lateral etch profile associated with a gap () generated in the second conductive layer () between the source and the drain electrodes (), where the associated gap () width in the third sub-layer (-) is wider than that in the first sub-layer (-).

Thin film transistor array panel and conducting structure

A micro LED display panel with enhanced display properties includes a substrate, a plurality of micro LEDs on the substrate, at least one common electrode, and a plurality of contact electrodes. Each micro LED includes top and bottom ends and a sidewall between them. The common electrode is coupled to the top end and a contact electrode is coupled to the bottom end. An adjustment electrode insulated from the other electrodes is formed on the sidewall of each of the plurality of micro LEDs; the adjustment electrode being fed with a DC voltage creates an electric field limiting the direction of flow of charge carriers within each micro LED and thereby improving performance.

Micro LED display panel

A liquid crystal display device includes a display panel and a backlight module. The display panel includes a TFT substrate. The TFT substrate includes a base portion that is flat and an extending portion curvedly extending from a side of the base portion. A driving chip is positioned on the extending portion and electrically coupled to the TFT substrate. The backlight module includes a light guiding plate including a main portion that is flat and a bending portion curvedly extending from a side of the main portion. The main portion is laminated on a side of the base portion. The bending portion extends toward a direction away from the base portion. An end surface of the bending portion away from the main portion is a light-incident surface of the light guiding plate. A surface of the main portion facing and adjacent to the base portion is a light-emitting surface.

Thin film transistor array panel

A display device comprised of OLEDs and micro LEDs which allows for blue light degradation of the OLEDs includes a first substrate and a second substrate in a double-decked configuration. First light emitting elements are located and spaced on the first substrate and second light emitting elements are located and spaced on the second substrate, the light emitting elements on the lower deck being staggered so as not to be hidden by the light emitting elements on the upper deck. The upper deck has openings (or is transparent) therein to allow egress of light from the light emitting elements of the lower deck. The display device provides a solution for uneven display cause by degradation of pixels.
