A method and device are disclosed from the perspective of a first Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU). In one embodiment, the method includes the first WTRU triggering a first buffer status report (BSR), wherein the first BSR indicates an amount of data expected to arrive. The method also includes the first WTRU triggering a second BSR, wherein the second BSR indicates an amount of data already available. The method further includes the first WTRU generating a MAC (Medium Access Control) PDU (Protocol Data Unit), wherein the MAC PDU includes at most one first BSR MAC CE (Control Element) for the first BSR and at most one second BSR MAC CE for the second BSR.

Method and apparatus for controlling UE state transition in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a UE. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a signalling from a network node to trigger a non-contention based random access procedure, wherein the signalling includes a first information indicating a first numerology and a second information indicating a second numerology. The method also includes transmitting a random access preamble based on the second numerology to the network node. The method further includes receiving a random access response from the network node. In addition, the method includes monitoring a control channel for scheduling a new transmission based on the first numerology.

Method and apparatus for monitoring physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus of a UE are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes the UE receiving a superposed signal from a BS. The method also includes the UE receiving a signaling from the BS and getting information from the signaling about a first standard modulation scheme for demodulation and a specific indication of how to retrieve at least one transport block from the demodulation output. In addition, the method includes the UE demodulating the superposed signal received from the BS according to the first standard modulation scheme, retrieving at least one transport block from the demodulation output according to the specific indication, and ignoring other portion(s) of the demodulation output.
