An optical fingerprint sensing module includes an image sensing device, a light source and a light shielding structure. The image sensing device is configured to sense light transmitted from a fingerprint of a finger on a display panel. The image sensing device includes a light sensing plane having a first geometric center. The light source includes a light emitting plane having a second geometric center. The first geometric center is separated from the second geometric center by a distance from 2 mm to 20 mm. The light shielding structure is disposed between the image sensing device and the light source. In examples, the optical fingerprint sensing module further includes a field angle controller to constrain light pass there through with a field angle of 5-60 degrees. A display device including an optical fingerprint sensing module is disclosed herein as well.

Optical fingerprint sensing module and display device with optical fingerprint detection

A sensing device includes a light-field image sensor and a sensing circuit. The light-field image sensor includes a plurality of subarrays. One of the subarrays corresponds to sensing pixels. The sensing pixels are to capture images of an object on or in proximity to a display panel by sensing lights from different directions. The sensing circuit is to generate a plurality of sub-images of the object according to sensing signals of the sensing pixels and shift each of the sub-images of the object by an off-set to generate an image data.

Sensing device and fingerprint identification system

An optical device including a first substrate, a light source, a second substrate, an image capturing device, a lens module and a lens holder is provided. The light source outputs a first light beam. The second substrate includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface and closer to the first substrate. A scattered light beam which is generated by the first light beam entering an object touching the first surface of the second substrate and scattered in the object is a second light beam. The image capturing device receives a third light beam. The third light beam is the second light beam normally incident to the second surface and transmitted to the image capturing device. The lens module focuses the third light beam to be captured by the image capturing device. The lens holder is located between the light source and the image capturing device.

Optical device for fingerprint collection

An under display light field sensor is for sensing a fingerprint or touch on or in proximity to a display panel. The under display light field sensor includes a light-field image sensor and a plurality of micro-lenses on the subarrays of the sensing pixels. The light-field image sensor includes a plurality of subarrays of sensing pixels under the display panel. The sensing pixels in an identical one of the subarrays are configured to capture images of an object on or in proximity to the display panel by sensing lights from different directions. Each of the micro-lenses corresponds to one of the subarrays of the sensing pixels.

A fingerprint identification device and a fingerprint identification method are provided. The fingerprint identification device includes a self-emitting display panel, a fingerprint sensor and a processor. The self-emitting display panel displays at least one light pattern in a sensing region. The fingerprint sensor senses a finger object located above the sensing region of the self-emitting display panel to generate a first fingerprint image and a second fingerprint image corresponding to the at least one light pattern. The processor is coupled to the fingerprint sensor. The processor determines whether the first fingerprint image and the second fingerprint image have opposite tones to identify the finger object is a real finger or a fake finger.

Fingerprint identification device and fingerprint identification method

An optical device including a first substrate, a light source, a second substrate, an image capturing device, a microstructure layer, and an infrared pass layer is provided. The light source is disposed on the first substrate. The second substrate is disposed above the first substrate. The second substrate includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The image capturing device is disposed on the first substrate to receive a light beam, which is originated from scattered light beams scattered by an object touching the first surface of the second substrate. The microstructure layer is disposed on the first surface of the second substrate. The microstructure layer is adapted to increase a light beam, which is scattered by the object and transmitted to the image capturing device. The infrared pass layer is adapted to pass the infrared light.

A color filter array for an image sensing device includes a plurality of pixels, for generating a plurality of pixel data of an image; and a control unit, for controlling the plurality of pixels; wherein each of the plurality of pixels is divided into a plurality of sub-pixels; wherein the pixel data outputted by each of the plurality of pixels is generated based on at least one pixel value of the plurality of sub-pixels and the outputted pixel data is smaller than a saturated threshold; wherein at least one pixel in the plurality of pixels has a mixed color by having different sub-pixel colors in the plurality of sub-pixels.

Color filter array and manufacturing method thereof capable of enlarging a dynamic range of an image sensing device

The optical sensor device including a sensor layer, a microlens layer and a filter layer is provided. The sensor layer includes a plurality of sensor areas, and is configured to sense a multi-wavelength light from a finger. The microlens layer includes a plurality of microlenses arranged in an array, and is disposed on the sensor layer. Each of the microlenses focuses the multi-wavelength light on a corresponding one of the sensor areas. The filter layer is disposed between the sensor layer and the microlens layer, and configured to filter the multi-wavelength light to generate a plurality of lights with different wavelengths. In addition, the fingerprint sensor apparatus including the foregoing optical sensor device is also provided.

A backside illumination global shutter pixel is disposed in a substrate having a first surface and a second surface and includes an isolation structure having a deep trench isolation pattern, a storage node, and a photoelectric conversion element. A biosensor device is provided, including a first semiconductor layer formed over an interconnect structure. A plurality of detection elements are formed in the first semiconductor layer. An optical filter layer is formed over and physically contacts the first semiconductor layer. A second semiconductor layer is formed over the optical filter layer, having opposing first and second surfaces, wherein the first surface physically contacts the optical filter layer. A plurality of isolation walls are formed over the second semiconductor layer from the second surface thereof, defining a plurality of micro-wells over the second semiconductor layer, wherein the isolation walls and the second semiconductor layer comprises the same material, and the micro-wells are correspondingly arranged with the detection elements. An immobilization layer is formed over the second semiconductor layer exposed by the micro-wells and a plurality of capture molecules are formed over the immobilization layer in the micro-wells.
