An image signal amplifying circuit comprising an amplifier and a gain control circuit. The amplifier respectively amplifies a first image signal and a second image signal, which are generated by a pixel array of an image sensor, by a first analog gain and a second analog gain, wherein each one of pixel circuits of the pixel array comprises a first capacitor for generating the first image signal and a second capacitor for generating the second image signal, wherein a charge storage capacity of the first capacitor is smaller than a charge storage capacity of the second capacitor. The gain control circuit selectively adjusts the first analog gain or the second analog gain. Each one of the pixel circuits has a first conversion gain corresponding to the first capacitor and a second conversion gain corresponding to the second capacitor.

A video capture method includes: controlling an image sensor to capture a plurality of first sensor output frames at a first frame rate during a first period; during the first period, checking if a motion blur condition is met; in response to the motion blur condition being met during the first period, controlling the image sensor to capture a plurality of second sensor output frames at a second frame rate during a second period following the first period, wherein the second frame rate is higher than the first frame rate; and processing consecutive sensor output frames captured by the image sensor during the first period and the second period, to generate a plurality of output frames.

A system and method of driving shutter by an object moving tendency. In this method, an image capture process is performed, wherein a sensor captures a first image of a moving object in a first resolution in the image capture process. Then, a prediction moving module analyzes the first image to acquire a prediction time for the moving object to reach a feature position. Finally, an automatic shutter control process is performed according to the prediction time, and a second image with a second resolution is captured, wherein the value of the second resolution is larger than that of the first resolution. This method automatically captures the second image of the moving object when situated at the feature position by using the prediction moving system to analyze the moving object.

System and method of driving shutter by tendency of moving object

An image capturing device and an image capturing method thereof are disclosed. The image capturing device includes an image capturing module and a processing module. The image capturing module captures a plurality of temporary images corresponding to a scene. The processing module sequentially analyzes the temporary images and generates a plurality of analysis results. The processing module dynamically adjusts the sampling time of the image capturing module capturing each temporary image according to the analysis results. Moreover, the processing module selects some of the plurality of temporary images according to the analysis results to integrate images. The image capturing module stops capturing the temporary images based upon a stop signal, and finally a storage image is generated.

Image capturing device and image capturing method thereof

An image processing device and an image processing method thereof. The image processing device comprises a memory module, an object detection module and a processing module. The memory module is provided for storing a plurality of images captured by a camera module, and the image comprises at least one object. The object detection module retrieves one of the images as a reference image and compares the remaining images with the reference image to locate a region where the object with corresponding contour and color is situated. If the object detection module compares and determines that the object with the corresponding contour and color is situated in different regions of the reference image and the remaining images, the processing module will remove the corresponding object in the reference image or superimpose each corresponding object in the reference image simultaneously.

Image processing device and image processing method thereof

An intra-prediction mode optimization method and image compression method/device are disclosed. To properly determine an intra-prediction mode for a target block of an image, a control block is selected from reference blocks of the target block, and an intra-prediction mode adopted in the control block is regarded as a control mode. Assuming that the target block is encoded according to the control mode as well, the prediction efficiency of the target and control blocks is assessed. When the intra-prediction efficiency, under the control mode, of the target block is better than that of the control block, the control mode is determined to be the intra-prediction mode of the target block and an intra-prediction pattern of the target block can be obtained. Otherwise, another one of the reference blocks is selected to be the control block and the control mode is refreshed, to repeat the intra-prediction efficiency assessment.

Intra-prediction mode optimization methods and image compression methods and devices using the same

An encoder. A first encoding unit discrete cosine transforms an input frame, quantizes the transformation result, and generates a first frame according to a motion vector. The first encoding unit includes a first feedback unit dequantizing the transformation result, generating a processing signal and a first reconstruction signal according to the dequantization result, and re-quantizing the processing signal to generate a requantization signal. A second encoding unit encodes according to the first reconstruction signal to generate a second frame and an encoding signal. The third encoding unit generates a third frame according to the encoding signal and the re-quantization signal.

The method includes providing an input speech signal, dividing the speech signal into a plurality of frames, dividing at least one of the plurality of frames into sub-frames including a plurality of pulses, selecting a first number of pulses for the first mode, with a second number of remaining pulses in the frame plus the first number of pulses in the first mode for the second mode, providing a plurality of sub-modes between the first mode and the second mode, forming a base layer, forming an enhancement layer, generating a bit stream including a basic bit stream and an enhancement bit stream, wherein the basic bit stream is used to update memory states of the speech system.

Fine granularity scalability speech coding for multi-pulses CELP-based algorithm

A method for implementing a multiplier-less FIR filter is disclosed, in which the FIR filter performs the convolution of where his the k-th coefficient of the FIR filter. The dynamic range of the filter coefficients is compressed by a transformation: where parameters &#x3b1; and &#x3b2; are chosen depending on filter type, &#x2212;1&#x2266;&#x3b1;&#x2266;1, and m denotes iteration numbers of coefficient operation of transformation, so as to avoid the serious quantization error caused by the phenomenon of SPT distribution. Then, the compressed coefficients are quantized into SPT numbers, and the coefficients are optimized by removing redundant STP numbers.
