A smart card with a fingerprint sensing system, includes a controller and a fingerprint sensing device. When the fingerprint sensing device senses a fingerprint to generate a fingerprint frame data, the controller enters a sleep mode, and when the controller reads the fingerprint frame data, the fingerprint sensing device stops sensing the fingerprint. Since operations of sensing the fingerprint and reading the fingerprint frame data do not occur at the same time, the high current condition can be avoided so as to decrease power consumption.

Smart card with fingerprint sensing system and control method thereof

An active stylus includes a stylus body and a touch sensor. The stylus body includes a first electrode and a pen body. The first electrode is used to send a signal. The pen body extends along a first direction. The touch sensor is provided on or in the pen body and includes a plurality of column electrodes extending along the first direction. There is a first gap between two adjacent column electrodes. Each column electrode has a first sensing electrode and a second sensing electrode. A first end of the first sensing electrode in the first direction has a recess to define a recess area. A second end of the second sensing electrode in the first direction has a projection extending into the recess area. There is a second gap between the projection and the recess. The second gap is smaller than the first gap.

A smart card has a light-emitting element, a fingerprint sensor and a microcontroller. An operation of the smart card has a plurality of indication periods to indicate operation statuses of the smart card by the light-emitting element. The control method of the smart card includes generating a light source control signal, controlling a current supplied to the light-emitting element by the microcontroller according to the light source control signal, and decreasing the current supplied to the light-emitting element or stop the current supplied to the light-emitting element during at least one power-saying period in a first indication period of the plurality of indication periods.

A fingerprint sensing integrated circuit device includes a fingerprint sensing device, an encryption unit, a multiplexer and a transmission interface. The encryption unit is connected to the fingerprint sensing device. The multiplexer has an output end, a first input end and a second input end. The first input end of the multiplexer is connected to the fingerprint sensing device. The second input end of the multiplexer is connected to the encryption unit. The multiplexer connects the output end to the second end according to a selection signal. The transmission interface is connected to the output end of the multiplexer.

A method of identifying edge swipe gesture has steps of respectively reading sensing signals on an edge area under a hover mode and on a non-edge area under a touch mode; determining if a touch object has appeared on the edge area after determining that the object has appeared on the non-edge area, calculating a displacement of the object moving from the edge area to the non-edge area within a preset time and determining if the displacement exceeds a preset distance, and determining that the movement of the touch is identified as an edge swipe gesture if the displacement meets the condition. A capacitive touch panel controller has a memory and multiple driving signal output units. At least one transistor of each driving signal output unit and multiple transistors of the memory are fabricated by an identical semiconductor fabrication process so that the gate oxide layers of the transistors of the driving signal output unit and the memory are identical in thickness. As the transistor of each driving signal output unit and those of the memory are fabricated by a same high-voltage semiconductor fabrication process, the transistor of each driving signal output unit can be fabricated to provide a capacitive touch panel controller having high-voltage driving capability without using any high-voltage fabrication process and increasing the production cost. Due to the high-voltage driving, the SNR and anti-interference capability can be increased.

For object detection, a two-step group scan to the traces of a capacitive touch sensor is performed, thereby dramatically shortening the overall scanning time and reducing noise effect. After all the traces are scanned by the pre-scan step to find out the trace of a touch point, the trace of the touch point and traces adjacent thereto are scanned by the re-scan step for more accurate positioning of the touch point.
