Embodiments include methods for a network node of a 3GPP RAN. Such methods include determining a configuration that enables a UE to steer the UE's traffic between the 3GPP RAN and a WLAN without receiving a traffic steering command from the 3GPP RAN. The configuration includes a forward traffic steering configuration comprising a first plurality of thresholds/conditions for which the UE, when connected to 3GPP RAN, can initiate steering at least some of the UE's traffic from 3GPP RAN to WLAN; and a backward traffic steering configuration comprising a second plurality of thresholds/conditions for which the UE, when connected to WLAN, can initiate steering at least some of the UE's traffic from WLAN to 3GPP RAN. The backward traffic steering configuration includes threshold(s)/condition(s) based on different values of a same parameter as threshold(s)/condition(s) of the forward traffic steering configuration. The configuration is sent to the UE in a single message.

Traffic steering from a first access network to a second access network

A first communications device and a method therein for handling of active mode operation after transmitting data to a second communications device. The first and the second communications devices are operating in a wireless communications network. The first communications device transmits a first data transmission to the second communications device and enters a sleep mode. At a number of points in time, the first communications device temporarily wakes up from the sleep mode to an active mode for an active mode period. Further, the first communications device indicates, to the second communications device, a point of time of the active mode period.

This disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for In-Device Coexistence (IDC) indication. Among other things, the present disclosure presents a method performed by a user equipment (UE). The UE is configured to sendan IDC indication message with a same content as in a previously sent IDC indication message if, or when, the UE has performed a handover to another cell (target cell).

There is provided access to a communications channel in a wireless communications network. Stations (STAs) associated with an access point (AP) are grouped in at least two groups of STAs, each group being associated with a minimum transmission power level needed by the AP to communicate with the STAs in that group. A first time interval is allocated for a first group of STAs associated with highest minimum transmission power to access the communications channel concurrently with a third time interval being allocated by another AP for a third group of STAs associated with lowest minimum transmission power level needed by said another AP to communicate with the third group of STAs to access the communications channel. A second time interval, non-overlapping with the first time interval, is allocated for a second group of STAs associated with lowest minimum transmission power to access the communications channel concurrently with a fourth time interval being allocated by said another AP for a fourth group of STAs associated with highest minimum transmission power level needed by said another AP to communicate with the fourth group of STAs to access the communications channel.

A method in a mobile terminal is disclosed for determining whether or not to transmit a connection request for a connection between the mobile terminal and a base station, where the base station is moving. When the mobile terminal is detecting the base station, the mobile terminal is determining an indication of a relative speed between the mobile terminal and the detected base station. The mobile terminal is then determining whether or not to transmit the connection request to the base station. It is determined to transmit the connection request when the determined indication of the relative speed between the mobile terminal and the base station indicates that the relative speed is below a first threshold.
