Disclosed are a modular lighting apparatus and a method of manufacturing the same. The modular lighting apparatus may be configured such that a volume of a heat radiating module may easily be changed to satisfy standards established by a variety of products groups. An optical module is configured to be interchangeable to provide different form factors that conform to different standards. The modular configuration and associated method of manufacturing the modular lighting apparatus provides enhanced assembly efficiency as well as reduced manufacturing costs.

A lighting apparatus can dissipate heat by conduction and convection. A heat sink is provided with an active cooling device for the lighting apparatus.

Lighting apparatus

A light emitting diode (LED) based lamp is provided that may include a housing, a LED module having at least one LED to emit light, and a lens to receive the light from the LED and to guide the light to a specific area. An outer circumference of the lens may have a different surface roughness than an inner surface of the lens or may have a different light transmissivity than the inner surface of the lens. The outer circumference of the lens may minimize light from being transmitted to a region outside the specific area.

LED based lamp and method for manufacturing the same

A lighting apparatus as disclosed herein may include an installation guide plate which may guide the installation of a light source module inside a housing of the lighting apparatus. The guide plate may include an opening shaped to correspond to a shape of the light source module. The light source module may be inserted into the opening to facilitate positioning and installation of the light source module. The guide plate may also be configured to provide electrical insulation between the light source module and the housing.

A lighting apparatus, a lighting system and a lighting control method are disclosed. The lighting apparatus includes an LED module, a heat sink for emitting heat generated from the LED module, a rectifier for rectifying an input commercial AC power, a transformer including a main coil and an auxiliary coil to transform the rectified power, and an electronic module for biasing a current used to drive the LED module based on the input voltage transported via the auxiliary coil.

Lighting controlling method, lighting apparatus and lighting system

A lighting apparatus is broadly disclosed and embodied herein. The lighting apparatus may include a heat sink, a first reflector provided over the heat sink, a light emitting module provided at the first reflector, an enclosure provided over the heat sink to surround the light emitting module, and a second reflector provided over the light emitting module. At least a portion of the light emitted from the light emitting module may be reflected at least in a direction a prescribed angle below a horizontal plane of the light emitting module.

A lighting apparatus is disclosed herein that may illuminate a space with light emitted from a light source or to concentrate the emitted light on a certain object. The lighting apparatus may include a lens and a main body that may house a light source. One or more connectors may be formed on the lens and the main body to connect the lens to the main body such that the connectors are not visible once the lighting apparatus is assembled. The lighting apparatus may facilitate mass production and enhance design characteristics owing to a simplified coupling configuration of the connectors provided therein.

A lighting device and a method of assembling the same are disclosed herein. The lighting device may include a lens assembly having a plurality of condensing lenses, a reflector having a plurality of openings, and a light emitting module having a plurality of LEDs. The condensing lenses, the plurality of openings, and the LEDs may be positioned to correspond to each other. The reflector may reflect light emitted from the light emitting elements to maximize light distribution efficiency of the lighting device.
