Disclosed is a method for distributing, installing, and operating a software-defined radio-based radio application independent of hardware and a user application. A radio application distribution method for installing a radio application in a user terminal using a radio application package comprises the steps of: generating a radio application package including a radio controller code, compiled by an application processor compiler, and a user-defined function block; and uploading the radio application package to a server, wherein the radio controller code is in the form of an execution code executed by an application processor or radio computer of the user terminal, and provides a user application of the user terminal with context information of a radio application to be installed in the user terminal or defines a radio controller for transmitting and receiving data with a networking stack of a communication service layer located in the application processor.

Method for distributing, installing, and executing software-defined radio application

Disclosed is a structure for operating a unified radio application for a software defined radio terminal. The structure for operating a unified radio application according to the present invention can be classified into two types depending on whether a configuration code (configcode) of the radio application is constituted by an executable code or implemented in an intermediate representation (IR) code. With the structure for operating a unified radio application according to the present invention, it is possible to develop and distribute a radio application capable of operating on all radio platforms.

Method for operating software defined radio application

Disclosed is a method for distributing, installing and operating software-defined radio-based radio application independent of hardware and a user application. The radio application comprises a radio controller code and a user-defined function block code. A radio application package for distributing and installing the radio application includes pipeline component metadata for constituting a pipeline of the radio application. The user-defined function block code may be provided in the form of an execution code, a source code or an intermediate representation, and the radio controller code and the user-defined function block code may call a standard function block. Accordingly, with the configuration of the radio application of the present invention and the method for distributing, installing and operating the radio application according to the present invention, various wireless communication systems can be used independently of a modem chip just by downloading and installing the radio application.

Method for distributing, installing and executing software-defined radio application

Disclosed is a smart antenna software definition radio terminal device. A software definition radio terminal device in a smart antenna software definition radio multi antenna system according to the present invention includes: a storage unit, a microprocessor, and at least one baseband accelerator. The microprocessor is configured to select a smart antenna algorithm; receive a control command from a radio controller layer for delivering a control command to control the baseband accelerator and a radio controller layer on the basis of the selected algorithm; read from the storage unit a code including a baseband driver layer that delivers the received control command to the baseband accelerator, and execute the read code; and load at least one functional block for realizing at least one smart antenna algorithm from the storage unit into the baseband accelerator. According to the terminal device, a terminal having a modem chip of a different structure may execute the same radio application through standard API.

Smart antenna software definition radio terminal device and method of distributing and installing software definition radio terminal application

Disclosed is a software-defined radio terminal device of the present invention. The software-defined radio terminal device of the present invention is a software-defined radio terminal device configured adaptively according to a radio application, and comprises: a storage unit, a micro processor, and a baseband accelerator, wherein the micro processor delivers from the upper layer to the baseband accelerator a control command for controlling the baseband accelerator and information to be transmitted, reads from the storage unit a code including a radio controller layer delivering the information received from the baseband accelerator to the upper layer, and a baseband driver layer that enables the interface between the radio controller layer and the baseband accelerator and implements the code thereby, and is configured to load from the storage unit to the baseband accelerator at least one function block needed for implementing the radio application, and the function block loaded to the baseband accelerator is configured to include a baseband control function block that controls in real-time the baseband accelerator.
