Electronic device

A display device includes a display panel and an input sensing panel. The input sensing panel includes pluralities of first and second sensing electrodes and electrostatic induction patterns, each of which is connected to a sensing electrode from one of the pluralities of sensing electrodes and overlaps another sensing electrode from the other one of the pluralities of sensing electrodes. The input sensing panel includes a first area where deviations of mutual capacitances between the first and second sensing electrodes are small and a second area where the deviations are large. The electrostatic induction patterns include first electrostatic induction patterns disposed in the first area and second electrostatic induction patterns disposed in the second area, the second electrostatic induction patterns having a different area from the first electrostatic induction patterns, or the number of second electrostatic induction patterns being different from the number of first electrostatic induction patterns.

Display device

Disclosed is an apparatus for inspecting a defect of a display panel. The apparatus for inspecting includes the display panel that displays an image, an input sensor that is disposed on the display panel and senses an input applied from outside, a sensor driving part that drives the input sensor, and an inspection part that is connected with the sensor driving part, sets a frequency of the input sensor to an inspection frequency, and detects the defect of the display panel based on a change in a jitter occurring when the input sensor is driven at the inspection frequency. The inspection frequency includes a harmonic frequency of a driving frequency of the display panel.

Apparatus and method for defect inspection of display panel

Provided is a display device comprising a display panel, an input sensor including a first sensing area having a first sub-area and a second sub-area, and a first sensor controller configured to drive the first sensing area. Here, the input sensor includes first sensing electrodes disposed in the first sub-area to receive a first transmission signal from the first sensor controller, second sensing electrodes disposed in the first sub-area and intersected with the first sensing electrodes, third sensing electrodes disposed in the second sub-area to receive a second transmission signal having a phase inverted from that of the first transmission signal from the first sensor controller, and fourth sensing electrodes disposed in the second sub-area and intersected with the third sensing electrodes.

In a method for testing an electronic device, the method includes: providing an electronic device including a display layer and a sensor layer on the display layer and configured to operate at a touch drive frequency, the sensor layer including a plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes insulatively intersecting the plurality of first electrodes; providing a test signal having a test frequency higher than the touch drive frequency to the plurality of first electrodes; measuring mutual capacitance with the plurality of first electrodes through the plurality of second electrodes; and determining whether or not the sensor layer is defective, based on the mutual capacitance.

Electronic device having a testing method for determining defects in a sensor layer

An input sensing part includes a first sensing electrode, a second sensing electrode that is insulated from the first sensing electrode and crosses the first sensing electrode, a plurality of dummy electrodes that are disposed in dummy areas located between the first and second sensing electrodes, when viewed in a plan view, and a dummy connection pattern that is insulated from the first and second sensing electrodes. The dummy connection pattern crosses the first sensing electrode or the second sensing electrode, when viewed in a plan view, and connects the dummy electrodes.

An electronic device includes a display panel, an input sensor disposed on the display panel and including a sensing electrode, a first signal line connected to the sensing electrode, and a second signal line connected to the sensing electrode, and a circuit board electrically connected to the input sensor. An electronic device includes a display layer, a sensor layer, and a sensor driver that receives a sensitivity value from a node defined in an area where one electrode intersects one cross electrode, and calculates an input coordinate based on the sensitivity value. When the sensitivity value received from the node is equal to or greater than a first threshold value, the sensor driver calculates the input coordinate based on the sensitivity value. When each of a plurality of sensitivity values received from the node and a plurality of peripheral nodes adjacent to the node is less than the first threshold value and greater than or equal to a second threshold value, the sensor driver calculates the input coordinate based on the plurality of sensitivity values.
