A battery classification apparatus includes a profile generating unit configured to obtain battery information about capacity and voltage of a battery and generate a differential profile representing a corresponding relationship between the capacity and a differential voltage based on the capacity and the voltage, and a control unit configured to obtain the differential profile from the profile generating unit, detect a plurality of peaks in the obtained differential profile, and classify the battery into any one of a plurality of preset groups based on a plurality of classification conditions preset for the number of the plurality of detected peaks and the differential voltage.

There is provided a secondary battery including an electrode assembly having a stack structure of an anode/a separation film/a cathode, a pouch type exterior member configured of a lower surface in which a receiving part is formed and an upper surface covering the receiving part, a single electrode assembly or a plurality of electrode assemblies being received in the receiving part, and an electrode terminal formed outwardly of the pouch type exterior member, the secondary battery including: a sealing part formed by bonding edges of the pouch type exterior member, wherein a portion of the sealing part formed on a surface of the pouch type exterior member on which the electrode terminal is not formed outwardly of the exterior member is folded downwardly at an angle of 90 degrees.

The present disclosure describes an ultrasonic welding apparatus, which improves the welding strength of an electrode tab and an electrode lead included in a secondary battery, and a secondary battery with an enhanced electrode structure strength by using the ultrasonic welding apparatus. The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly in which a cathode plate provided with a cathode tab, an anode plate provided with an anode tab, and a separator are stacked in turn; a pouch for receiving the electrode assembly; a cathode lead electrically coupled to the cathode tab by welding; and an anode lead electrically coupled to the anode tab by welding, wherein the density of welding points, formed at a welding surface between the anode lead and the anode tab, is higher than that of welding points, formed at a welding surface between the cathode lead and the cathode tab.
