The composite anode includes a silicon-containing structure; a first carbon material; a second carbon material; and a conductive material, wherein the first carbon material has a specific surface area (BET) value of 1.5 m/g or less, a rate of change of the specific surface area (m/g) to an increase in particle size (μm) is −0.07 to −0.04 m/μm·g, and an area occupied by pores in a cross-section of the first carbon material is 10% or less.

The insulator overlaps a first area of a top surface of the connector and a first area of a bottom surface of the connector, and does not overlap a second area of the top surface of the connector and a second area of the bottom surface of the connector.

Rechargeable battery

A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly, a battery case, and a cap assembly. The electrode assembly includes first and second electrodes. The battery case accommodates the electrode assembly therein and has an opened surface. The cap assembly seals the battery case and includes first and second terminal portions coupled to the respective first and second electrodes. In the secondary battery, at least one of the first and second terminal portions is coupled to a variable member including a plurality of variable plates. Accordingly, the path and resistance of current may be varied in the secondary battery, so that it is possible to reduce or prevent generation of heat caused by overcurrent. Thus, it may be possible to reduce or prevent an explosion and fire of the battery, thereby improving the safety of the battery.

Secondary battery

A secondary battery includes a case, a cap plate, and a vent portion. The case accommodates an electrode assembly therein and has an open top. The cap plate seals the top of the case. The vent portion is at one area of the cap plate. A porous safety member is at a position adjacent to the vent portion.

A rechargeable battery includes: a plurality of electrode assemblies each including first and second electrodes; a case accommodating the electrode assemblies; a cap assembly coupled to the case and including a terminal; and a first current collector coupling the terminal with the first electrodes of the electrode assemblies. The first current collector includes a terminal connector coupled to the terminal and a plurality of electrode connectors, each of the electrode connectors being coupled to a respective one of the first electrodes, and a plurality of first fuses, each of the first fuses being between the terminal connector and a respective one of the electrode connectors and having a substantially constant cross section between the terminal connector and the respective one of the electrode connectors.

Solid oxide fuel cell and manufacturing method thereof

A solid oxide fuel cell stack is disclosed. In one aspect, the solid oxide fuel cell stack includes unit cells, an external collector, a first stack collecting member, a cap, and a suspension member. The external collector contacts an outer periphery of each of the unit cells and electrically connects the unit cells to each other. The first stack collecting member is positioned to collect current from a distal unit cell. A cap is provided in one end of the distal unit cell. The suspension member has one side thereof suspended from the cap and the other side fixed to the first stack collecting member to distribute weight of the first stack collecting member. Structural stability of a stack collector may be maintained even at oxidizing atmosphere of high temperature when driving the fuel cell stack.

Solid oxide fuel cell stack

An interconnecting-type solid oxide fuel cell is disclosed. The fuel cell includes a unit cell, a first current collecting member, a first insulating member, and a second current collecting member. The unit cell has a first electrode layer, an electrolyte layer, and a second electrode layer sequentially formed from an inside thereof, and has an interconnector configured for electrical connection to the first electrode layer and exposed to an outside thereof in a state in which the interconnector is insulated from the second electrode layer. The first current collecting member is formed on an outside of the interconnector and configured to collect current. The first insulating member is formed on an outside of the first current collecting member. The second current collecting member is wound around an outer circumferential surface of the second electrode layer and an outside of the first insulating member.

A solid oxide fuel cell stack includes a cell array in which M interconnector unit solid oxide fuel cells are connected in parallel to form a bundle, and N bundles are connected in series; a first plate-shaped current collecting member connected to a first bundle of the N bundles, the first current collecting member including a first terminal, and a second plate-shaped current collecting member connected to an Nbundle of the N bundles, the second current collecting member including a second terminal; and a first elastic insulating member adjacent to the first current collecting member, the first insulating member having a first opening, a second elastic insulating member adjacent to the second current collecting member, the second insulating member having another first opening, and the first terminal passes through the first opening and the second terminal portion through the other first opening.

A Plasma Display Panel (PDP) includes: a first substrate and a second substrate, a plurality of barrier ribs disposed between the substrates to define discharge cells and including single walled barrier ribs and double walled barrier ribs, a plurality of discharge electrodes disposed on portions of the panel corresponding to the barrier ribs to supply a discharge voltage to the discharge cells, and phosphor layers formed in the discharge cells. The barrier ribs include single wall barrier ribs and double wall barrier ribs. The discharge electrodes disposed on the single wall barrier ribs are commonly used to generate a discharge in the adjacent discharge cells, and thus, discharge areas can be extended. Also, since the discharge spaces of the discharge cells are asymmetrically formed, the brightness of discharge cells that have a relatively low brightness can be increased.

A Plasma Display Panel (PDP) with improved luminous efficiency includes: a rear substrate; a front substrate facing the rear substrate; a plurality of barrier ribs interposed between the front and rear substrates and partitioning a plurality of discharge cells; a plurality of sustain electrode pairs arranged separate from each other on the front substrate facing the rear substrate, each pair of sustain electrodes including an X electrode and an Y electrode; and a front dielectric layer covering the sustain electrode pairs and having at least two grooves in each of the discharge cells; a distance between the X and Y electrodes of each sustain electrode pair is greater than a height of the barrier ribs.
