A display device includes a display panel including a pixel, a data driver which provides a data voltage to the pixel, an artificial intelligence model which receives luminance efficiency for each of colors in each of panel blocks of the display panel and predicts a power current applied to the display panel, and a timing controller which controls the data driver and provides the luminance efficiency for each of the colors to the artificial intelligence model.

A display device includes a display panel including a pixel, a temperature sensor which senses a temperature of the display panel and outputs the temperature of the display panel as a sensing temperature, a first compensation part which receives a gate-source voltage sensed in the pixel as a sensing voltage and compensates for the sensing voltage by a change amount of the gate-source voltage corresponding to a difference value between a reference temperature and the sensing temperature, and a second compensation part which compensates for data to be applied to the pixel by comparing a compensated sensing voltage with an initial gate-source voltage.

A method of operating a display device includes: receiving image data at an input frame frequency; generating a modulated clock signal by modulating an input clock signal according to a modulation frequency; randomly selecting an output frame frequency within a data frequency selection range, the input frame frequency being within the data frequency selection range; determining an output start timing of the image data based on the output frame frequency; initiating, at the output start timing, output of the image data in synchronization with the modulated clock signal; and displaying an image based on the outputted image data.

Method of displaying three-dimensional image and display apparatus using the same

A 3-dimensional image display device includes a signal controller, a data driver, a display panel, and glasses. The signal controller includes a reference gamma data generator to correct image data. The data driver includes a gray voltage generator to generate a gray voltage based on the corrected image data. The display panel displays left-eye and right-eye images based on a data voltage from the data driver. The lenses of the glasses are controlled by a glasses synchronization signal from the signal controller, to compensate for charging rates of the left-eye and right-eye images.

3-dimensional image display device

A method of driving a display panel includes determining a first black gap corresponding to a 2D mode and a second black gap corresponding to a 3D mode. The first and second black gaps are different from each other, the first and second black gaps correspond to a voltage difference between a black voltage of a first polarity and a black voltage of a second polarity, and the first and second polarities are opposite to each other with respect to a reference voltage. The method further includes dividing a voltage difference between a white voltage of the first polarity and the black voltage of the first polarity to generate a plurality of gamma voltages of the first polarity, and dividing a voltage difference between a white voltage of the second polarity and the black voltage of the second polarity to generate a plurality of gamma voltages of the second polarity.

A stereoscopic image display system includes a three-dimensional (3D) image signal generator, a display panel, a timing controller, a data driver, and a gate driver. The 3D image signal generator generates left-eye data and right-eye data on the basis of an image signal outputs the left-eye data and the right-eye data to the timing controller. The timing controller outputs the left-eye data and the right-eye data having a first frequency to the data driver in a first mode and outputs left-eye frame data and right-eye frame data having a second frequency to the data driver in a second mode. Two pixels, which are respectively connected to an i-th gate line and an (i+1)th gate line among the gate lines and to a same data line among the data lines, are operated with the same driving time in the first and second modes.

Stereoscopic image display apparatus and a stereoscopic image display system having the same

A method of processing data for driving a display panel including a pixel structure including red, green, blue and white (RGBW) sub-pixels includes receiving red, green and blue (RGB) data at a first frame frequency. The method further includes generating RGBW data at a second frame frequency, greater than the first frame frequency, using the RGB data.
