A view angle controlling LCD comprises a first panel part that has a first group of electrodes and a first liquid crystal layer driven by a first vertical electric field. The first group of electrodes includes a pixel electrode and a common electrode to generate the first vertical electric field. The view angle controlling LCD device further comprises a second panel part deposited on the first panel part that has a second group of electrodes and a second liquid crystal layer panel driven to have slope angle from the horizontal alignment condition by a second vertical electric field. The second group of electrodes includes a first electrode and a second electrode to generate the second vertical electric field.

Liquid crystal display device to control viewing angle

A liquid crystal display for automatically adjusting brightness of interference image displayed at ECB sub pixels of quad type cells of a liquid crystal display panel in accordance with brightness of a background screen is disclosed. The liquid crystal display includes first to n-th look-up tables each holding a mapping of one first to n-th mappings of ECB brightness data to cell location information for the quad cells of the liquid crystal display panel; an image processor that calculates a brightness data distribution of an image; and a viewing angle controller that selects one of the first to the n-th look-up tables depending on the calculated brightness data distribution.

Liquid crystal display and driving method thereof

A roll printing device, a roll printing method, and a method of fabricating an LCD device using the same are disclosed. The roll printing device includes a dispenser, an anilox roll receiving a predetermined material dispensed from the dispenser, a doctor roll rotating in engagement with the anilox roll to uniformly coat the predetermined material on the anilox roll, a doctor blade in contact with the anilox roll to uniformly coat the predetermined material on the anilox roll, and a printing roll supplied with the predetermined material from the anilox roll. The predetermined material is uniformly coated on the anilox roll by both the doctor roll and the doctor blade.
