The third semiconductor layer is a tunneling junction layer. A sum of a thickness of the fourth semiconductor layer and the third-second semiconductor layer is different from a sum of a thickness of the second semiconductor layer and the third-first semiconductor layer.

A light emitting element includes a first semiconductor layer; an active layer on a surface of the first semiconductor layer; a second semiconductor layer on the active layer; an insulating film to enclose an outer periphery of each of the first semiconductor layer, the active layer, and the second semiconductor layer; and an electrode layer on the second semiconductor layer. The first semiconductor layer includes a first area that is covered by the insulating film, and a second area that is not covered by the insulating film. A perimeter of the outer periphery of the first semiconductor layer in the first area and a perimeter of the outer periphery of the first semiconductor layer in the second area are different from each other.

Display device

A light emitting element includes an emission stacked pattern and an insulating film. The emission stack pattern includes a first conductive semiconductor layer, an active layer disposed on the first conductive semiconductor layer, and a second conductive semiconductor layer disposed on the active layer. The insulating film surrounds an outer surface of the emission stacked pattern and has a non-uniform thickness.

According to an embodiment, a pixel may include a first area and a second area partitioned in a first direction, (1-1)-th and (2-1)-th electrodes disposed in the first area and spaced apart in a second direction different from the first direction, (1-2)-th and (2-2)-th electrodes disposed in the second area and spaced apart in the second direction, light emitting elements disposed between the (1-1)-th and (2-1)-th electrodes and between the (1-2)-th and (2-2)-th electrodes, a contact electrode disposed on the (1-1)-th and (2-1)-th electrodes and the (1-2)-th and (2-2)-th electrodes, an insulating layer disposed between each of the (1-1)-th and (2-1)-th electrodes and the (1-2)-th and (2-2)-th electrodes, and the contact electrode, and including a first opening exposing a portion of the (1-1)-th electrode; and a first intermediate electrode electrically connecting the contact electrode on the (2-1)-th electrode and the contact electrode on the (1-2)-th electrode.

Pixel, display apparatus comprising same, and manufacturing method therefor

Provided is a display device comprising a substrate including a first sub-display area and a main display area surrounding the first sub-display area, a first transistor disposed on the main display area without overlapping the first sub-display area, a via insulating layer to cover the first transistor, a first light emitting element to overlap the main display area without overlapping the first sub-display area, a second light emitting element to overlap the first sub-display area without overlapping the main display area, and a transparent oxide layer to overlap the first sub-display area without overlapping the main display area, wherein the transparent oxide layer includes a conductive portion and a non-conductive portion, the first light emitting element is disposed to overlap the first transistor while being connected thereto, and the second light emitting element is connected to the conductive portion of the transparent oxide layer.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

A light-emitting element includes a first semiconductor layer doped to have a first polarity; a second semiconductor layer doped to have a second polarity that is different from the first polarity; an active layer placed between the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer; and an insulating layer surrounding at least the outer surface of the active material. The insulating layer includes an insulating film surrounding the active layer, and an element dispersion agent including a magnetic metal and bonded to an outer surface of the insulating film.

A light emitting element may include an emission stacked pattern including a first conductive semiconductor layer, an active layer, and a second conductive semiconductor layer that are stacked in a longitudinal direction of the emission stacked pattern. The active layer may include a first surface that is in contact with the first conductive semiconductor layer in the longitudinal direction of the emission stacked pattern, and a second surface that is opposite the first surface and is in contact with the second conductive semiconductor layer. The first conductive semiconductor layer may include at least one n-type semiconductor layer, and the second conductive semiconductor layer may include at least one p-type semiconductor layer. Manufacturing method for forming an inorganic light emitting element having a low surface roughness

A display device includes a substrate including a plurality of pixel areas; and a pixel provided in each of the pixel areas. The pixel may include a first electrode and a second electrode extending in a first direction on the substrate and spaced from each other in a second direction different from the first direction; a bank pattern between the substrate and the first electrode and between the substrate and the second electrode, and including at least two sub-bank patterns in a same column and spaced from each other; and a plurality of light emitting elements between the first and second electrodes. Here, each of the first and second electrodes may have at least two or more widths in the second direction along the first direction.

A display device includes a first electrode and a second electrode disposed on a substrate and spaced apart from each other, a light emitting element on the substrate and having a first end and a second end, a third electrode disposed on the light emitting element, and electrically connecting the first electrode with the first end of the light emitting element, an insulating pattern disposed on the third electrode and exposing the second end of the light emitting element, and a fourth electrode on the substrate, and electrically connecting the second electrode with the second end of the light emitting element. A void may be formed between the light emitting element and the insulating pattern.
