The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a labyrinth seal using wire arc additive manufacturing, which is mounted between a diaphragm of a turbine and a turbine rotor to induce a smooth rotation of the turbine rotor and preventing gas leakage by minimizing friction between the diaphragm of a turbine and a turbine rotor when a rotating body such as the turbine rotor rotates inside a fixed body such as the diaphragm, and which includes a ring-shaped body part and a tooth part protruding on one side of the ring-shaped body part, wherein the labyrinth seal is deposition-manufactured by 3D printing, the body part is manufactured by the wire arc additive manufacturing, and the tooth part is manufactured by a directed energy deposition.

Method for manufacturing turbine labyrinth seal using wire arc additive manufacturing

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a labyrinth sealing device mounted between a diaphragm and a turbine rotor of a turbine in order to induce smooth rotation of the turbine rotor and prevent a leakage of gas by minimizing friction between a rotor, such as the turbine rotor, and a stator, such as the diaphragm, when the rotor rotates in the stator, wherein the labyrinth sealing device includes a ring-shaped body and a labyrinth part protruding from one surface of the ring-shaped body, the ring-shaped body is manufactured by centrifugal casting or ring mill, and the labyrinth part is manufactured by 3D printing. The method of manufacturing a labyrinth sealing can improve productivity by reducing material costs and machining costs by manufacturing the labyrinth part (or teeth) protruding from the ring-shaped body using three-dimensional printing after manufacturing the ring-shaped body by centrifugal casting or ring mill. Moreover, the method of manufacturing a labyrinth sealing device can manufacture the labyrinth part in various shapes according to usage environments since the labyrinth part is manufactured by three-dimensional printing. Especially, the method of manufacturing a labyrinth sealing device can achieve microstructure, reduce fusion defects, and improve an adhesive force by bonding the labyrinth part on the body through vibration and far-infrared heating when the labyrinth part is stacked on the body.

The present invention relates to a method for exhausting high concentrations of toxic gases generated during chemical stripping for high-temperature parts of a gas turbine, the method including the steps of: allowing a pair of openable/closable doors mounted on top of a tank whose top is open to accommodate a chemical substance therein to be closed during the chemical stripping so as to close top of the tank; collecting the toxic gases generated from the interior of the tank through hoods located at the inside of the tank; and exhausting the toxic gases to the outside through exhaust pipes mounted on the hoods or collecting the toxic gases to a separate storage tank.
