A motor-noise absorbing apparatus of a vacuum cleaner is disclosed. The motor-noise absorbing apparatus includes a body seated and fixed on a peripheral part of an opening of a motor housing to close between the motor housing and a stator core and, thus, to restrict an amount of the air discharged between the motor housing and the stator core, a first air discharging part formed in the middle of the body, so that most of the air comes out of the guide vein is discharged between the stator core and a rotor, and at least one second air discharging part formed to penetrate a peripheral part of the body, so that a portion of the air coming out of the guide vein is discharged between the motor housing and the stator core.

Motor-noise absorbing apparatus of vacuum cleaner

A vacuum cleaner is disclosed which comprises a motor chamber for mounting a motor assembly that, generates a suction force at a dust suction port, and a discharge port for guiding an air discharged from the motor chamber to the outside of a cleaner body, wherein the motor chamber comprises an air discharge opening which is in fluid communication with the discharge port; and a path extension member disposed between the motor assembly and the air discharge opening, of which edges are spaced apart from an inner wall of the motor chamber by a predetermined distance, respectively, to thereby form a detour path, and the air discharged from the motor assembly is guided in a circuitous manner by the path extension member so as to be passed through the detour path before reaching the air discharge opening. That assembly effectively reduces noise generated during operation of the motor assembly that is detectable outside of the cleaner body.

A fan assembly for a vacuum cleaner, comprising a motor, an impeller rotatably coupled to the motor, and having a plurality of impeller wings, and a diffuser having a plurality of diffuser wings arranged along an outer circumference of the impeller. The plurality of diffuser wings includes first and second parts, the second part extending from an angle of the first part adjacent to the outer circumference of the impeller.
