A system and method are provided for compensating an offset of a pressure sensor. The system includes a pressure sensor that is configured to detect pressure and a power management module that is configured to automatically supply power to a controller connected to the power management module or terminate the supply of power after a preset time to thereby turn the controller on or off. The system further includes the controller connected to the power management module and configured to determine the offset of the pressure sensor based on a pressure value which is detected by the pressure sensor when the power is supplied from the power management module. The system also includes a memory configured to store the determined offset.

A fuel cell system having a hydrogen supply manifold is provided and includes a stack that uses supplied air and fuel gas to generate electricity. A recirculation line recirculates a fuel gas, to an inlet of the stack. An ejector unit is disposed on the recirculation line, supplies fresh fuel gas, and circulates the recirculated gas. The ejector unit includes a middle pressure manifold in which a nozzle mounting portion is formed and a supply passage to transmit fuel gas to the nozzle mounting portion. A control valve is disposed on the middle pressure manifold to adjust fuel supplied to the stack. A nozzle is engaged with an end portion of the nozzle mounting portion to inject fuel gas supplied through the supply passage. Additionally, a low pressure manifold is engaged with the middle pressure manifold to suction and mix exhaust gas of the stack.

The present invention relates to a fuel cell system for vehicles and a method for controlling the same which stably maintains an output of a fuel cell by precisely estimating a recirculated hydrogen amount to a stack. A fuel cell system according to the present invention may include: a stack comprising a plurality of unit cells for generating electrical energy by electrochemical reaction of a fuel and an oxidizing agent; a blower for recirculating a gas exhausted from the stack so as to supply the gas back to the stack; an ejector for recirculating the gas exhausted from the stack, receiving hydrogen so as to mix the hydrogen to the recirculated gas, and supplying the mixture to the stack; a sensor module for detecting a driving condition of the vehicle; and a control portion for controlling operations of the blower and the ejector by using the driving condition of the vehicle and performance maps of the blower and the ejector.

The present invention provides a fuel control system and method, e.g., for a vehicle fuel cell system, which can efficiently supply hydrogen to a fuel cell stack and increase the efficiency of an ejector. For this purpose, the present invention provides a fuel control system having a series-connected multi-stage pressure control structure, in which an additional injector is provided in series between an injector for controlling the pressure of hydrogen supplied, a pressure control valve, or a pressure control actuator and a hydrogen recirculation ejector in a hydrogen supply passage, through which hydrogen is supplied from a hydrogen supply unit to a fuel cell stack, such that the pressure of hydrogen supplied is controlled in stages.

An integrated pressure control actuator assembly of a hydrogen supply system includes: a start/stop solenoid valve, a bypass valve, and a pressure control actuator, which are integrally formed in a single body; a normal flow path formed on the body, through which hydrogen gas is transferred from the start/stop solenoid valve to the pressure control actuator; an auxiliary flow path formed on the body, through which hydrogen gas is transferred according to opening and closing of the bypass valve connected to the normal flow path; and a control means for controlling the opening and closing of the bypass valve by detecting a failure of the pressure control actuator. The assembly enables the fuel cell vehicle to be driven in a limp home mode in the event of an emergency by adjustment of the pressure of hydrogen.

The present invention provides a hydrogen discharge system for a fuel cell system, which can ensure safety of a fuel cell vehicle by optimizing the dilution of hydrogen discharged from a fuel cell during discharge and ensure silence of the vehicle by reducing noise generated during discharge. For this purpose, the present invention provides a hydrogen discharge system for a fuel cell system including a purge valve for purging hydrogen discharged from a fuel electrode of a fuel cell stack, the hydrogen discharge system including: an ejector mounted to a hydrogen purge line extending from the purge valve to introduce air from the outside; and a post-treatment system connected to an exhaust line of the ejector to remove hydrogen discharged therethrough.

Hydrogen discharge system for fuel cell system

Disclosed is a hydrogen recirculation apparatus for a fuel cell vehicle. More specifically, the apparatus described herein includes a humidifier/heat exchanger humidifies and heat-exchanges dry hydrogen flowing through a low-pressure regulator and recirculated hydrogen flowing through a hydrogen recirculation blower. The humidifier/heat exchanger utilizes the condensed water flowing from a water separator as a source of humidity. The water heat-exchanged with hydrogen by the humidifier/heat exchanger is reused for cooling the hydrogen recirculation blower, and the water used in the hydrogen recirculation blower. The temperature increased by the operation of the hydrogen recirculation blower, is mixed with water flowing from the water separator before introduction into humidifier/heat exchanger.
