An image sensor is wieldy used in many fields, including medical field and security device. Specifically, the image sensor is most widely used in digital camera and mobile phone. The digital camera and the mobile phone requires capture image of higher resolution and higher quality. However, a preview size of the mobile phone or digital camera requires a small size because of a display limitation. Therefore, a function of reducing an image size or magnifying a specific portion of the picture is essential in the image sensor. Accordingly, there is provided an image sensor with a scaler. The image sensor with the scaler can arbitrarily adjust a size of an image without any additional scaling chip.

Image sensor with scaler and image scaling method thereof

A method of detection of erroneous memory usage is provided. The method includes starting a computer and executing a program and a monitoring tool to collect calls to a memory during execution of the program, detecting a call to the memory using the monitoring tool, extracting lines of code which request access to a memory address via the call to the memory, detecting a set of variables to which access is granted via the call to the memory, extracting, after execution of the predetermined program, the set of variables for each of the lines of code, detecting erroneous memory usage by matching the extracted lines of code with the set of variables, and determining the call as erroneous upon access being granted to the memory corresponding to the set of variables during execution of the predetermined program when access is not possible during the execution of the program.

Method of detection of erroneous memory usage

An apparatus and method for tracing memory access information of a user program while ensuring a normal operation of the user program. An access permission about a memory region may be set to trace the memory access information. An instruction of the user program encounters a page fault according to the set access permission. If the page fault occurs, memory access information is stored based on the page fault, and apparatus executes an instruction causing the page fault while in a supervisor mode.

Apparatus and method for tracing memory access information

There is provided an edge detecting method, which is capable of preventing a noise influence caused by imaging device and a color interpolation. The edge detecting method includes the steps of: setting a first kernel based on a center pixel in pixel data arranged in a mosaic structure; setting a second kernel based on the center pixel within the first kernel; detecting whether a pixel having a green value in the second kernel is a defective pixel, and correcting the pixel; converting all pixels of the second kernel into pixels having green value; calculating a slope value by using a mask for detecting an edge in the second kernel; and detecting an edge by adding the slope value to a luminance value obtained by a color space conversion.

Provided are a method and apparatus for supporting a symbolic link at an application level while keeping the structure of an existing file system that does not support a symbolic link. The method includes receiving a symbolic link creation command including an absolute path and a symbolic link path from a user, creating a symbolic link file for the symbolic link path when the absolute path exists but the symbolic link path does not exit, and changing a value of a specified field of a directory entry of the created symbolic link file to a specified value representing the symbolic link.

An image sensor for obtaining a digital image data by using a correlated double sampling method unrelated to an intensity of inputted light includes a pixel array including N&#xd7;M unit pixels; a reset voltage check block for receiving each reset signal outputted from each unit pixel and comparing a level of each reset signal with a minimum level of a preferable reset signal to thereby generate a reset compensation control signal; a reset voltage compensation block for compensating the reset signal outputted from each unit pixel in response to the reset compensation control signal to generate a compensated reset signal; and an analog to digital converter for deriving an analog image data by using a data signal outputted from the pixel array and the compensated reset signal to convert the analog image data into the digital image data.
