Provided is a dehumidifier capable of preventing condensation from flowing to the outside of a water container when the dehumidifier is turned over or while the dehumidifier is moved, since a suction structure for suctioning the condensation and a discharge structure for discharging the condensation are improved. The dehumidifier comprises: a main body having a suction port; a heat exchanger provided inside the main body and removing moisture in the air; and a water collection device for collecting the condensation generated in the heat exchanger, wherein the water collection device comprises: an auxiliary water container in which the condensation is collected; a housing for guiding the condensation to the auxiliary water container; a connection hose provided to have a bent part so as to connect the auxiliary water container and the housing; an upper water container detachably provided at the upper part of the main body so as to drain the condensation; and a pump for pumping, to the upper water container, the condensation collected in the auxiliary water container.

Dehumidifier

Disclosed herein are an air conditioner and a method for controlling the same. The air conditioner includes an indoor temperature measuring unit that measures an indoor air temperature, an outdoor temperature measuring unit that measures an outdoor air temperature, a heat exchanger temperature measuring unit that measures an inlet temperature of one or more indoor heat exchangers and an outlet temperature thereof, and a processor that determines a reference superheat degree using the indoor air temperature and the outdoor air temperature, obtains a difference between the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature of the one or more indoor heat exchangers, compares the difference between the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature of the one or more indoor heat exchangers and the reference superheat degree, and determines whether a circulation amount of a refrigerant is normal according to a result of the comparison.

Air conditioner and method for controlling the same

A method of controlling an air conditioner including a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion valve and an indoor unit, includes detecting an indoor temperature and an outdoor temperature and checking an indoor load and an outdoor load when an operation command is input, determining an operation frequency of the compressor and a degree of opening of the expansion valve based on the checked indoor load and the outdoor load, driving the compressor at the determined operation frequency and opening the expansion valve to the determined degree of opening, thereby supplying a refrigerant to an indoor heat exchanger having a first cooling panel and a second cooling panel disposed parallel to each other, controlling a rate of rotation of each of the indoor fans based on the operation frequency of the compressor and the degree of opening of the expansion valve.
