Discussed is a battery module that may include a battery cell assembly including a first battery cell assembly and a second battery cell assembly in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked, respectively; an upper frame that houses an upper surface and opposite side surfaces of the battery cell assembly and is opened in front and rear surfaces; a lower frame that houses a lower surface and the opposite side surfaces of the battery cell assembly and is opened in front and rear surfaces; and end plates that are respectively located on a surface that is adjacent to an outer side from among front and rear surfaces of the first battery cell assembly and a surface that is adjacent to an outer side among front and rear surfaces of the second battery cell assembly, wherein the first battery cell assembly and the second battery cell assembly are arranged separately in a direction facing each other, and wherein the upper frame includes a material having a melting point higher than a melting point of a material constituting the lower frame.

Cooling member for battery module and battery pack including the same

Disclosed herein is a battery pack case configured to receive a battery module assembly including a plurality of battery modules, each having a plurality of battery cells or unit modules mounted therein, sequentially stacked, wherein a coolant inlet port and a coolant outlet port are located at the upper part and the lower part of the battery pack case, respectively, in a state in which the coolant inlet port and the coolant outlet port are opposite to each other such that a coolant for cooling the unit modules flows from one side of the battery modules to the opposite side of the battery modules in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the unit modules are stacked, and an inclined plate for guiding the flow of the coolant is provided between the battery pack case and the battery modules.

Disclosed is a battery module including a battery cell stack including a structure in which a plurality of battery cells connected to each other in series and/or in parallel is stacked and each of the battery cells is stood on one side thereof, voltage sensing members provided with connecting terminals electrically connected to electrode terminal connection parts of the battery cells for detecting voltages of the battery cells, an upper case covering the end of one side of the battery cell stack and portions of upper and lower ends of the battery cell stack, the upper case being provided with mounting parts, into which the voltage sensing members are inserted and mounted, and a lower case coupled to the upper case while covering the end of the other side of the battery cell stack and portions of the upper and lower ends of the battery cell stack.
