A battery pack according to the present disclosure includes a first battery module; a first top cover provided on the first battery module; a second battery module mounted on top of the first battery module on the first top cover; a second top cover provided on the second battery module; an inter-top cover part acting as a cooling device interposed between the first top cover and the second top cover, includes a heatsink having a cooling water passage space, an inter-top cover part upper member in contact with an upper surface of the heatsink, and a heatsink port for entry/exit of cooling water to/from the cooling water passage space; a lower gasket provided at a contact area between the first top cover and the inter-top cover part; and an upper gasket provided at a contact area between the second top cover and the inter-top cover part.

Battery pack and vehicle comprising the same

A battery pack is configured to discharge a high-temperature gas to the outside of the battery pack without affecting other adjacent battery modules when the gas is generated inside the battery module. The battery pack includes a pack housing; battery modules; and a first side venting channel and a second side venting channel configured to guide a venting gas generated from the battery modules to a collection space at a position corresponding to the battery module, and the pack cover includes a protrusion on a surface of a region corresponding to the collection space.

Battery pack and vehicle including the same

A battery pack discharges a high-temperature gas to the outside of the battery pack without affecting other adjacent battery modules when the gas is generated inside the battery module. The battery pack includes a pack housing; a battery module; and a pack cover having a first center venting channel, a first side venting channel, a second center venting channel and a second side venting channel configured to guide a venting gas generated from the battery module at a position corresponding to the battery module, the pack cover being configured to cover the battery modules by being coupled to the pack housing.

A battery module includes a structure so that gas or flame generated inside the battery module may be discharged stably. The battery module includes a cell assembly having at least one battery cell; a module case configured to accommodate the cell assembly in an inner space thereof and have a venting hole formed therein to discharge a venting gas generated from the cell assembly; and a venting unit provided at an outer side of the module case and configured to include an outer housing and an inner housing made of different materials, the venting unit being configured such that the venting gas discharged from the venting hole is introduced therein to flow along a surface of the inner housing and is discharged to the outside.
