Disclosed herein are a vehicle emergency notification method and apparatus using interaction with an external terminal. Some of functions of a conventional vehicle emergency notification apparatus are performed by a replaceable or detachable external terminal. The apparatus may provide notification of a vehicle emergency via interaction with the external terminal. The external terminal generates a Minimum Set of Data (MSD) related to an accident involving the vehicle. A proxy Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) receives the MSD from the external terminal. The PSAP finally determines whether an accident involving the vehicle has occurred via interaction with a proxy PSAP FE and interaction with a vehicle occupant, and requests dispatch from an emergency agency if it is finally determined that the accident involving the vehicle has occurred.

Vehicle emergency notification apparatus and method using external terminal

Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for identifying interoperability between object-identifier-based heterogeneous identifier nodes for a next generation network. The apparatus includes a plurality of identifier registry servers located in a plurality of unit networks connected to an open network, and configured to receive and store identifiers and locators of nodes of corresponding unit networks, and also configured to, as identifiers of destination nodes that are communication target nodes are input from nodes of the unit networks, return locators of the destination nodes, wherein unique object identifiers are assigned to the identifier registry servers. An object identifier resolution server is located in the open network, and is configured to receive and store object identifiers and locators of the identifier registry servers, and is also configured to, as object identifiers are input from nodes of the unit networks, transfer locators of identifier registry servers to the nodes.

Apparatus and method for identifying interoperability between object identifier-based heterogeneous identifier nodes for next generation network

Provided is a method of operating a tunnel point that provides a tunnel between a router group including at least one router and a mobile node. The method includes: providing a tunnel between the mobile node and the router group by authenticating the mobile node; receiving a packet including an identifier (ID) of a target node from the mobile node; converting the ID of the target node in the packet into a locator corresponding to the ID of the target node; transmitting a packet including the converted locator to the router group; and maintaining the ID of the mobile node by authenticating the mobile node through the router group when the mobile node is connected to another external terminal node.

Provided are a virtualization-supporting programmable platform device and a method of transferring a packet. The method includes, when a switch receives a packet including a destination sliver identifier (ID) and a virtual interface (VIF) ID, transferring, at the switch, the received packet to a sliver selected on the basis of the destination sliver ID, and transferring, at the sliver receiving the packet, the received packet to one of VIFs of the sliver on the basis of the VIF ID. Accordingly, a programmable platform or router supporting network virtualization can identify IDs of slivers, which are resources allocated to users in the future Internet, and VIFs connected to the respective slivers.

Method and apparatus for processing a plurality of network addresses in a mobile terminal

Provided is a method and apparatus for allocating a multicast connection identifier (MCID) for Internet protocol (IP) packet transmission over a portable Internet network and transmitting packets using the MCID. More specifically, there is provided a method of defining and allocating an MCID for transmitting an IP version 6 (IPv6) multicast packet over an IEEE 802.16/Wireless Broadband (WiBro) network and a process for transmitting an IP multicast packet of a base station (BS) using the MCID. The method of allocating is related to a method of automatically generating a connection identifier (CID) having 16 bits for packet transmission over the IEEE 802.16/WiBro network in order to transmit the IPv6 multicast packet. In this method, a scope value of the IPv6 multicast packet is added to the MCID. Therefore, multicast packets having an effective IPv6 scope such as a multicast packet in a link-local category, a multicast packet in a site-local category, and a multicast packet in a global category can be transmitted over the IEEE 802.16/WiBro network according to the scope of the multicast packet. Accordingly, when a new IPv6 scope is defined, the method can be naturally applied.

Method and apparatus for allocating multicast connection identifier used for IP multicast packet transmission over portable internet network and transmitting packet using the multicast connection identifier

Provided is a mobile IPv6 fast handovers method, which includes the steps of: a) if a mobile node is moved in a layer 2, receiving a modified RS message from a mobile node in the access router, b) detecting movement of the mobile node in a layer 3 in the access router, c) if the mobile node makes a movement in the layer 3, generating CoA of the mobile node in the access router; d) performing Duplicate Address Detection in the access router to inspect uniqueness of the generated CoA; and e) transmitting a modified RA message to the mobile node in the access router. The Fast Handovers method of the present research performs fast movement detection by using layer 2 information simply and efficiently for fast handover in the mobile IPv6 and generates CoA in the access router instead of the mobile node without operations of many additional messages.

Access router based mobile IPv6 fast handover method

Disclosed is a communication method using the mobile IPv6 in the NAT-PT environment, and a recording medium storing the method. An NAT-PT (Network Address Translation-Protocol Translation) box as a substitute for an IPv4 node in the communication method performs an RR (Return Routability) process and a BU (Binding Update) process with an IPv6 node to allow data communication between the IPv4 node and the IPv6 node. Therefore, mobility support using the mobile IPv6 is provided in the network with the mixed IPv4 and IPv6.
