A laser processing apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment includes: a light source generating a laser beam; and a light converging unit converging the laser beam to a focal point on an object to be processed, wherein the light converging unit includes a first optical element including a through hole penetrating the first optical element; a second optical element including a first region reflecting the laser beam and a second region transmitting the laser beam; and a third optical element including a focusing lens as a convex lens, a lower surface of the first optical element is a concave mirror, and an upper surface of the second optical element is convex and a lower surface thereof is concave.

A light guide plate includes a light incident surface to which a light is configured to be incident, a light exit surface from which the light incident through the light incident surface is configured to exit, a bottom surface facing the light exit surface configured to reflect at least a portion of the incident light, and a scattering pattern disposed on the bottom surface. The scattering pattern includes a first protrusion portion protruding from the bottom surface, a recess portion disposed along a circumference of the first protrusion portion and recessed from the bottom surface and a second protrusion portion spaced apart from the first protrusion portion and disposed along a portion of the recess portion.

Light guide plate, backlight unit having the same, display apparatus having the same, and method of manufacturing the same

A display device includes a display panel, a backlight unit, and support members. The display panel displays an image, and a first edge section, a middle section, and a second edge section are defined on the display panel. The backlight unit outputs light toward the display panel. The support members are disposed between the display panel and the backlight unit corresponding to the first and second edge sections, and the support members space the display panel from the backlight unit. A spacing distance between the display panel and the backlight in each of the first and second edge sections is greater than a spacing distance between the display panel and the backlight unit in the middle section.

Display device

A spacer member is provided within a display apparatus that includes a heat-emitting light source and a thermally deformable light guide plate. In one embodiment, the spacer member includes a pair of spacer members disposed at sides of the light source and engaging the light guide plate so as to space the light source from a light receiving incident surface of the PGP by a predetermined distance.

A display device according to an embodiment of the invention includes a display member configured to display images, a light source member configured to generate light, and a light guiding member disposed between the light source member and the display member. The light guiding member is configured to guide the light to the display member. The display member, the light source member, and the light guiding member are integrated as a single unit. The light source member generates blue light. The light guiding member includes a light guide layer and a fluorescent layer disposed on a top surface or a bottom surface of the light guide layer. The fluorescent layer is configured to convert the blue light into white light.

A backlight unit includes a light source that emits light and a light guide plate disposed adjacent to the light source. The light guide plate includes an incident surface to which light is incident, an exit surface from which light incident through the incident surface exits, a reflection surface facing the exit surface to reflect the incident light, and a plurality of lenticular protrusions disposed on the exit surface. The reflection surface includes an inclined surface proximal to the incident surface and inclined with respect to the exit surface.

Optical structure and backlight unit

A backlight assembly includes a light-emitting diode (LED) module and a bottom chassis. The LED module includes an LED package in which at least one LED chip is mounted, and first and second wire sockets respectively making contact with lead frames formed at two sides of the LED package. The bottom chassis has a coupling hole formed through a bottom portion for receiving a coupling hook of the LED module. Thus, a wire socket is configured to make contact with a lead frame formed at a side portion of an LED package and power is received through a wire inserted through the wire socket, so that an additional printed circuit board (PCB) or an additional flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) for providing the LED package with power may be omitted.

In a method for manufacturing a nanoparticle, a precursor (e.g., transition metal complex) mixed with polyethylene glycol (PEG) is thermally decomposed. A nanoparticle is formed from the thermal decomposition. PEG is cost effective and less toxic than chemicals that are conventionally used for nanoparticle production, so that costs for manufacturing the nanoparticle may be decreased. Further, PEG may be reused to produce more nanoparticles.

A light-emitting module includes a light guide plate and a light source unit in accordance with an embodiment. The light guide plate include an upper surface, a lower surface facing the upper surface, a plurality of side surfaces connecting the upper surface and the lower surface, and a cross-sectional surface connected to at least one of the side surfaces. The light source unit includes a substrate disposed in correspondence with the cross-sectional surface and a point light source mounted on the substrate to emit light to the cross-sectional surface. Thus, light-emitting efficiency may be enhanced and the arrangement of point light sources may be optimized, so that a required amount of emitted light may be obtained using a small number of the point light sources. In addition, uniformity of luminance and heat-radiating efficiency may also be enhanced.

Light-emitting module and display device having the same

For selecting anti-fuses in a semiconductor memory device, a decoder block may be enabled to receive selection information for selecting the anti-fuses. The selection information is decoded in the decoder block to select at least one of the anti-fuses. Target operation is performed on the selected anti-fuses. The decoder block is disabled.
