A filter assembly for a cyclone-type dust collecting apparatus of a vacuum cleaner which filters dust included in the air current discharged from the outlet port of the cyclone-type dust collecting apparatus. The present filter assembly comprises a rotating filter rotatively coupled against the outlet port and an inlet grill; an operation bar; and a handling knob. The dust collected on the outer surface of the rotating filter may be removed by rotating the rotating filter with the handling knob and thus improves dust-collecting efficiency.

A cyclone-type dust collecting apparatus for a vacuum cleaner is provided. The apparatus comprises a cyclone body having an air inlet port and an air outlet port, for forming a vortex current of air which is introduced through the air inlet port and contains dust; a dust collecting container removably coupled to the cyclone body so as to collect the dust separated by centrifugal force of the vortex current in the cyclone body; a grill disposed at an upstream portion of the air outlet port in the cyclone body to prevent dust separated from the air from flowing back through the air outlet part; and a fine dust filtering means disposed at a downstream portion of the grill in the cyclone body to collect fine dust which passes through the grill.

Cyclone-type dust collecting apparatus for vacuum cleaner

A filter cleaning device for a cyclone vacuum cleaner which comprises a cyclone body having a suction port and a discharge port, a dust collecting receptacle connected to the cyclone body for collecting dusts separated from air drawn in through the suction port, and a filter connected to the discharge port and disposed inside the dust collecting receptacle. The filter cleaning device includes a manipulation unit disposed under the filter to approach to, and retreat from the filter. A connection member is interposed between the manipulation unit and the dust-removing ring for moving the dust-removing ring in association with the approaching and retreating movements of the manipulation unit. An elastic spring is interposed between the filter and the manipulation unit for urging the manipulation unit to retreat from the filter.

A cyclone-type dust-collecting apparatus for a vacuum cleaner comprises a conically shaped grill assembly disposed at the air outflow port of a cyclone body. The grill assembly includes a grill portion and prevents reverse flow of dust and dirt from the cyclone body. The grill assembly members are easily separable to allow a user to easily remove the dirt collected in the grill portion by simply separating the second grill member from the connection member and washing the second grill member with water.

Cyclone-type dust-collecting apparatus for vacuum cleaner

A cyclone-type dust collecting apparatus having a dust removing portion for removing from the grill portion the dust and foreign substances that become attached to the grill portion of the grill member while the grill portion is rotated by the vortex air of the cyclone body. The dust removing portion includes rotating means disposed at a lower portion of the grill member for rotation by an air current passing therethrough; a rotary member rotatably connected to the rotating means, and disposed separate from an end of the grill member by a predetermined distance; and a brush member having one side connected to the rotary member and the other side being disposed in contact with the grill portion of the grill member for removing the dust and foreign substances from the grill portion. As the cleaning operation starts, the brush member inside of the cyclone-type dust collecting apparatus is rotated by the vortex current generated therein, to remove dust or contaminants from the grill portion of the grill member. Accordingly, clogging of the grill portion of the grill member is prevented, and as a result, deterioration of the suction force and overload of the motor can be inhibited.

A vacuum cleaner having a joint assembly to selectively rotate an extension pipe with respect to a handle. The joint assembly has a joint body removably installed between the extension pipe and the handle to allow the extension pipeto rotate with respect to the handlewithin a predetermined range. Also included on the joint assembly is a supplemental handle protruding from an outer surface of the joint body. The joint assembly and supplemental handle allow the user to clean under a bed or a desk without having to bend his/her back too much. Therefore, the user is not easily fatigued even when he/she cleans under the desk or bed.
