The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for controlling dynamic resolution, comprising: a display unit for receiving a user input for executing an application including a plurality of objects; a memory for storing setting information displaying, at a first resolution, a screen on the display unit; and a control unit for receiving information on a plurality of resolutions supported by the application, selecting a second resolution, which is the resolution of an execution screen on which the application is executed, on the basis of the first resolution and the plurality of resolutions, configuring the execution screen by synthesizing the plurality of objects with a system UI according to the second resolution, and up-scaling the configured execution screen according to a ratio of the first and second resolutions so as to display the up-scaled execution screen on the display unit. Therefore, dynamic resolution can be controlled.

Mobile terminal for controlling dynamic resolution and control method therefor

A mobile terminal is provided. The mobile terminal includes a display and a controller, where the controller is configured to divide at least a part of the display into a first area for displaying at least one other party information item and a second area for displaying communication log information corresponding to the at least one other party information item, display at least one communication content corresponding to one of the at least one other party information item when a signal for selecting the one of the least one other party information item is received, and display at least one communication content belonging to one of at least one communication category of the communication log information when a signal for selecting the communication log information is received.

Disclosed herein are a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same, which provide a user with a frame-scale content playback progress status information from the related art time-scale content playback progress status information. As described above, the mobile terminal includes a touch screen configured to display a playback screen of a content including image, and a controller controlling operations associated to a playback of the content. Herein, the controller may detect whether or not a command for displaying a playback progress status of the content in one of a time scale and a frame scale is being inputted. And, when the command is inputted, the controller may switch and display the playback progress status of the content from the time scale to the frame scale, and vice versa.
