A refrigerator includes a body having a storage compartment, a door that opens and closes the storage compartment, and a display unit separably provided on a front side of the door. If one side of the display unit is inserted into an inner side of the front side of the door due to rotation, the other side of the display unit is provided to protrude toward a front of the door. With this configuration, the display unit can be easily separated from the door.

Provided are a guard assembly that is rotatably installed at a rear side of a door of a refrigerator and the refrigerator including the same. The guard assembly in accordance with an embodiment, is installed at a rear side of a door of a refrigerator. The guard assembly includes a body portion which is placed at the rear side of the door and to which a supporting tray is coupled, and a rotation unit that causes the body portion to be rotatably coupled to the door. The rotation unit includes a guide member having a coupling hole and coupled to one side of the rear side of the door, and a hinge member having one side coupled to the body portion and another side rotatably coupled to the coupling hole.

Refrigerator

A refrigerator which increases convenience in assembly of a handle and reduces generation of scratches on doors and drawers in assembly of the handle, and a handle assembly method thereof, is provided. The refrigerator includes doors rotatably combined with a main body, a handle combined with each door to open and close each door, a first handle fixing unit assembled with each door to fix the handle to each door and provided with an inclined part fixed to the handle by a fastening unit, a second handle fixing unit assembled with each door to fix the handle to each door and combined with the handle in a sliding manner, a first connector assembled with the handle and fastened to the first handle fixing unit by the fastening unit, and a second connector assembled with the handle and combined with the second handle fixing unit in the sliding manner.

Refrigerator and handle assembly method thereof

When a door of a refrigerator door is closed, there is provided a passage which remains open to communicate the interior of the refrigerator with air outside of the refrigerator for a predetermined time period in order to enable pressures inside and outside of the refrigerator to be equalized. Thus, the door can be subsequently opened more easily. Energy for closing the passage after the predetermined time period is stored by an energy storing member in response to either a door-opening movement or a door-closing movement.
