Provided are an apparatus and a method for controlling a Bluetooth in a portable terminal. The method includes receiving a Bluetooth connection request signal; determining whether a current state is a communicable state in which a Bluetooth control message can be received; if it is determined that the current state is the communicable state, determining whether a correct Bluetooth control message has been received and stored; and if it is determined that the correct Bluetooth control message has not been received and stored, establishing a connection of a Bluetooth communication.

A method for managing customer relationship management (CRM) data is provided. Log data including Internet address information associated with a user's terminal is received from the user's terminal via a communication network. User's CRM data is generated using the log data initially received from the user's terminal and is updated using the log data received from the user's terminal in which, the CRM data has been already generated. The generated and updated CRM data is transmitted to the user's terminal via the communication network such that the CRM data is stored in the user's terminal. An Internet user need not input CRM data whenever the Internet user uses Internet services and the user's own favorite information is obtained from a CP server which provides services suitable for each user using the CRM data without requiring a CRM solution having additional costs.

An apparatus and method for displaying a detailed map of a selected area of a displayed map received through a network are provided. If a detailed map of a particular area is requested by a user, data on the detailed map for the particular area is provided by a map provider server through a network and combined with data on the original map. A map including maps drawn to two different scales is displayed on a display device, i.e., the original map is continuously displayed while only the particular area is replaced by the detailed map. Therefore, the readability of the map is improved, and desired geographical information can be easily obtained.
