An embodiment airbag device includes a first airbag configured to be deployed in a shape covering a lateral outer periphery in a vehicle and a second airbag configured to be deployed at a position different from a position of the first airbag in the vehicle and coupled and supported by a coupling device at a portion where the second airbag overlaps the first airbag.

A knee air bag reduces an injury to occupant's legs by employing a slim crash pad design. The air bag includes a first cushion that is deployed from an inner side of a crash pad toward an occupant to fill a space below the crash pad and a second cushion that is deployed between the first cushion and the occupant to support occupant's legs while being supported on the first cushion.

A seat-mounted airbag device may include a seatback cushion built in a seatback of a vehicle. The seatback cushion includes side portions configured to be deployed from both side peripheral portions of a seat to a front of the seat to protect sides of an occupant when deployed by gas supplied by an inflator into the seatback cushion. Chest portions of the seatback cushion extend from front ends of the side portions to surround a chest of the occupant to protect the chest of the occupant. The airbag device includes one or more seatback tethers connected to a seat frame and mounted in the seat. When the seatback cushion is deployed, the seatback tethers are deployed along with the seatback cushion to support the chest in a top-bottom direction thereof, thereby supporting an upper body of the occupant.

A side airbag (SAB) of a vehicle includes: a main chamber disposed in a seat to be deployed from a side surface portion of the seat and, when deployed, configured to cover at least one of a thoracic region, an abdomen region, or a pelvis region of an occupant; a main inflator configured to supply gas to the main chamber to deploy the main chamber; and an auxiliary chamber communicating with the main chamber to allow the gas inside the main chamber to be supplied to an interior of the auxiliary chamber and connected to the main chamber to be deploy above the main chamber.

An air bag apparatus for a vehicle includes an inflator and a main tube configured to be unfolded toward an occupant of the vehicle by a gas pressure when the inflator explodes. A support tube is coupled to one side of the main tube and configured to be unfolded by being supplied with gas from the main tube. An active vent is configured to be installed in a path which connects the main tube to the support tube and to open and close the path. A controller is configured to control an opening and closing operation of the active vent.
