An anode active material according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a first graphite particle and a second graphite particle having a different particle diameter from that of the first graphite particle. A ratio of a pellet density relative to a. tap density of the anode active material is from 1.3 to 1.45. A particle deformation of the anode is suppressed to achieve a lithium secondary battery having improved long-term and high-energy properties.

Embodiments of the present invention provides a pouch film. In manufacturing a secondary battery, a gas may be generated when reacting an electrode assembly with an electrolyte. After the generated gas is discharged, the pouch film may be sealed. The primary particles include an artificial graphite, and an I(110)/I(002) of the secondary particle is in a range from about 0.0075 to 0.012.

In Relational Formula 1, Ris an average particle size of the first anode active material, and Ris an average particle size of the second anode active material.
