A system for detecting fake information about a vehicle location may include a radio signal receiver configured to receive a radio signal from a communication system; a message receiver configured to receive the radio signal to generate a message and determine the message to generate information about a location of the communication system; a radio signal incident angle calculator configured to generate a radio signal incident angle; an azimuth calculator configured to generate a location information azimuth angle by use of the information about locations of the communication system and a receiving vehicle, and a fake vehicle generated by the communication system; and a location information fake detector configured to determine whether location information of the fake vehicle is faked by use of a difference value between an angle corresponding to a reference axis of the location information azimuth angle and the location information azimuth angle.

An apparatus for verifying a vehicle in an inter-vehicular communication environment includes: a communication unit configured to receive a basic safety message and a verification message from a remote vehicle that is allowed to engage in inter-vehicular communication; and a controller configured to determine that the remote vehicle is reliable when the communication unit receives the verification message from the remote vehicle at least a predefined number of times over a predefined period of time, and to generate permission to utilize the basic safety message received from the remote vehicle when the controller determines that the remote vehicle is reliable.

Apparatus and method for inter-vehicle communication

There are provided an apparatus and a method for inter-vehicle communication. The apparatus includes a communication unit configured to perform communication with another vehicle, a positioning unit configured to obtain positional information of a vehicle, and a controller configured to synchronize time instances of transmitting/receiving messages to/from the another vehicle using a signal from the positioning unit, to set communication conditions based on communication congestion with the another vehicle, and to perform transmitting/receiving messages to/from the another vehicle at the synchronized time instance according to the communication conditions.

Disclosed is a network coding method and system for receivers having a different channel state that may demodulate and extract a single coded packet using a different demodulation scheme according to a channel state of each receiver. The disclosed network coding method may use a different demodulation scheme to be suitable for a channel state of each receiver by applying a packet encoding scheme combined with a modulation scheme. When two receivers receive a network coded packet, a receiver having a poor channel state may receive a relatively small amount of information from the single packet compared to the other receiver having a relatively excellent channel state, but may enhance the reliability of packet reception. The other receiver having the relatively excellent channel state may decrease the reliability of packet reception, but may receive a relatively large amount of information.

Network coding method and system through consideration of channel state difference of receivers

A congestion-resilient link adaptation method is provided. The link adaptation method for selecting any one of modes having mapped transmission parameters includes the steps of: estimating a channel-induced error number indicating the number of channel-induced transmission failures in a current mode and comparing the estimated channel-induced error number with a mode-down threshold; and determining whether the mode-down is performed based on the comparison result. Thus, higher throughput can be achieved without use of additional hardware or protocols.

Congestion-resilient link adaptation method

Provided is a routing method for determining a destination in a computer network having multiple interconnected nodes, the method for measuring packet delays among remotely located gateways and processing routing in application layers of the gateways using the packet delays. The routing method based on packet delay includes the steps of setting a re-routing interval and measuring one-way delays among gateways, exchanging the measured delays among the respective gateways and forming delay time tables, calculating an average one-way delay during the re-routing interval, and if a packet is received, applying the calculated average one-way delay to a predetermined algorithm and determining a path from a source gateway to a destination gateway, the path having the minimum delay. Therefore, an improved routing performance can be achieved in real time transmitting a packet by determining the minimum delay path to a destination by measuring packet delays among remotely located nodes in application layers thereof.
