A display device includes: a display panel including: a functional area defined by an opening formed in the display panel; and a display area defined as an area where a plurality of light emitting elements are arranged, surrounding the functional area; and a functional module including a lens disposed overlapping the functional area, wherein only some of the plurality of light emitting elements of the display panel are configured to emit light in a low power mode, and wherein all of the plurality of light emitting elements are configured to emit light in a general mode; and wherein the display device is configured to, in the low power mode, provide a predetermined information to a user formed by the boundary between the functional area and the display area and an image formed by light emission of the some of the plurality of light emitting elements.

Display device

A display module includes a window including a base substrate and a bezel pattern overlapping the base substrate in a plan view, and a display panel. The bezel pattern includes a first bezel pattern extending along an edge of the base substrate, and a second bezel pattern which extends from the first bezel pattern and of which at least a portion defines a transmission area. The display panel includes a glass substrate, an encapsulation substrate on the glass substrate, a sealing member coupling the glass substrate and the encapsulation substrate and overlapping the first bezel pattern in the plan view, a circuit element layer disposed on the glass substrate and including a transistor, and a display element layer disposed on the circuit element layer and including light emitting elements. The display element layer exposes a portion of a layer disposed thereunder, which corresponds to the transmission area.

Display module, display panel, and method for manufacturing the display panel

A display device includes: a display panel including: a first area defined by an area corresponding to an opening in the display panel, the first area configured not to display an image; and a display area surrounding the first area and configured to display an image; and a first electronic module disposed in the opening of a lower part of the display panel overlapping the first area, wherein the display device is configured to display a first boundary image in a part of the display area adjacent to a boundary between the first area and the display area, and wherein the display device is configured to provide predetermined information to a user through a combination of the first area and the first boundary image.

A method of manufacturing a display device includes preparing a pixel circuit substrate including thin-film transistors and pixel electrodes respectively electrically connected to the thin-film transistors, forming a first deposition layer on the pixel circuit substrate using a first mask assembly, and forming a second deposition layer on the pixel circuit substrate using a second mask assembly. At least one of the first mask assembly and the second mask assembly includes a mask plate including an opening portion through which a deposition material passes and a covering portion that blocks a passage of the deposition material. The mask plate includes a protruding portion that protrudes from an edge of the covering portion toward a center region of the opening portion.
