The memory stores instructions executable by the processor to implement the method, including: upon detecting a request to execute an application, load a page of the application, based on a display specification of the electronic device, determine whether to adjust a layout of a screen including output of the loaded page, upon adjusting the layout of the screen, determine an additional content to be displayed in an extra space included in the adjusted layout of the screen, and determine an output method by which the determined additional content is displayed in the extra space.
