An optical system including a plurality of lenses is provided. In particular, a horizontal field of view and a vertical field of view of the optical system are different from each other, and a horizontal effective focal length (EFL) and a vertical EFL of the optical system are different from each other. In addition, a retro-focus type optical system is formed in one of a horizontal direction or a vertical direction, and a telephoto type optical system is formed in the other of the horizontal direction or the vertical direction such that a beam pattern from a square-shaped light source is extended laterally.

Optical system for vehicle and vehicle lamp using the same

A lamp for a vehicle includes a light source unit that generates light and an optical unit for guiding the light. The light source unit includes a plurality of light sources arranged in a matrix shape, and the optical unit includes a plurality of optical members disposed in a traveling direction of the light. The light generated from the plurality of light sources passes through the optical unit to form a beam pattern.

Lamp for vehicle

An optical lens capable of miniaturization and capable of easily implementing various optical characteristics and a lighting device using the same are provided. The optical lens includes a lens body including an incident surface and an emitting surface; and a plurality of nano holes that extend in a direction from the incident surface toward the emitting surface, and is formed to communicate with at least one of the incident surface or the emitting surface. In particular, the plurality of nano holes change a phase of light that is incident on the lens body.

Vehicle optical system and vehicle lamp using the same

The present disclosure relates to a lamp for a vehicle, and more particularly, to a lamp for a vehicle which is capable of preventing occurrence of a blind zone caused by a defect. The lamp includes a light source portion with a plurality of light emitting areas in which brightness of generated light is separately controllable and a brightness controller which is configured to cause the plurality of light emitting areas to generate light at a first brightness level to form a beam pattern and to cause at least one of the light emitting areas, which is disposed proximate to a defective area which includes at least one faulty area, to generate light at a second brightness level.
