A display device includes an organic layer, an anode, a pixel defining layer, a cathode, a light emitting layer, a light blocking layer, a color filter, and a sensing electrode. The organic layer includes an anode-connecting opening. The anode is disposed on the organic layer and is partially disposed inside the anode-connecting opening. The pixel defining layer includes an anode-exposing opening that exposes the anode. The cathode overlaps the anode. The light emitting layer is between the anode and the cathode. The light blocking layer overlaps the cathode and includes a blocking layer opening. The color filter fills the blocking layer opening. The sensing electrode is at least partially covered by the light blocking layer. The anode-connecting opening overlaps with each of the sensing electrode, the pixel defining layer, and the light blocking layer in a plan view of the display device.

Light emitting display device

A display device includes a display area and a non-display area; a light emitting element disposed on a display area of a substrate; a dam disposed on a non-display area of the substrate; an encapsulation layer disposed on the light emitting element and the dam; a planarization layer disposed on the encapsulation layer; and a sensing electrode disposed on the planarization layer, wherein a thickness of a portion of the planarization layer disposed in the non-display area gradually increases as the portion of the planarization layer is away from the display area.

A light emitting display device includes a display panel including a display area and a photosensor area surrounded by the display area; and an infrared sensor positioned on a rear surface of the photosensor area, wherein the display area includes a pixel definition layer having an opening overlapping an anode; a cathode covering the pixel definition layer; an encapsulation layer positioned on the cathode; and a light blocking layer positioned on the encapsulation layer and having an opening overlapping the opening of the pixel definition layer, wherein the photosensor area overlaps an overlapping portion of the light blocking layer, the pixel definition layer has an additional opening corresponding to the photosensor area such that the pixel definition layer is not formed in the photosensor area, and the photosensor area further includes an additional spacer positioned within the additional opening of the pixel definition layer.

Light emitting display device and electronic device having the same

A display device, includes: a light emitting element layer including a sub-pixel and a pixel defining film defining the sub-pixel; a thin film encapsulation layer on the light emitting element layer; a pseudo-reflection pattern overlapping the pixel defining film and formed on the thin film encapsulation film; a connection electrode on the pseudo-reflection pattern; a second touch insulating layer on the connection electrode; and a driving electrode and a sensing electrode on the second touch insulating layer, wherein a width of the connection electrode is greater than a width of the driving electrode.

A display device includes a substrate comprising emission and non-emission areas. A light-emitting element overlaps the emission area and is on the substrate. A thin-film encapsulation layer overlaps with the emission and non-emission areas and is on the light-emitting element. A touch sensor layer is on the thin-film encapsulation layer. The touch sensor layer comprises a first conductive layer on the thin-film encapsulation layer. A touch insulating layer is on the first conductive layer. A display device includes a circuit element layer disposed on a substrate; a first insulation layer disposed on the circuit element layer; a first conductor pattern disposed on the first insulation layer; a second insulation layer disposed on the first conductor pattern; a second conductor pattern disposed on the second insulation layer; a third insulation layer disposed on the second conductor pattern; an electrode of a light emitting diode disposed on the third insulation layer; and a pixel defining layer disposed on the third insulation layer and including an opening that overlaps the electrode of the light emitting diode. The opening overlaps the first conductor pattern, and in a plan view, an area of the opening matches an area of the first conductor pattern or is disposed inside the area of the first conductor pattern.

A light emitting display device includes: a flexible substrate including a display area and a peripheral area having a bending area. The display area includes: a plurality of inorganic layers; first and second organic layers that are disposed on the plurality of inorganic layers; a black pixel defining layer that is disposed on the second organic layer; and a spacer that is disposed on the black pixel defining layer. In the bending area, the plurality of inorganic layers include a first opening formed at a position corresponding to the bending area. The first opening is filled with the first organic layer, the second organic layer is disposed on the first organic layer, the black pixel defining layer includes a second opening at a position corresponding to the bending area, and the second opening is filled with an organic layer for the spacer, formed of a same material as the spacer.

A display device includes a pixel electrode, a wall layer, an emission layer, a touch electrode, and a light blocking member. The wall layer includes an opening exposing the pixel electrode. The emission layer overlaps the pixel electrode. The light blocking member overlaps the touch electrode and includes a first opening and a second opening each exposing the emission layer. A first perimeter section of the first opening is spaced from a first perimeter section of the opening by a first distance in a first direction in a plan view of the display device. A second perimeter section of the first opening is spaced from a second perimeter section of the opening by a second distance in a second direction in the plan view. The second distance is equal to the first distance. The second direction is at 45 degrees relative to the first direction.

A display device may include a source electrode disposed on a substrate; a drain electrode disposed on the substrate; an insulating layer disposed on the source electrode and the drain electrode, the insulating layer including an opening overlapping the drain electrode; and a first electrode disposed on the insulating layer and electrically contacting the drain electrode in the opening of the insulating layer, wherein an angle between a side surface of the opening of the insulating layer and a plane parallel to the substrate is in a range of about 70 degrees to about 85 degrees.

Display device and manufacturing method thereof

A display device according to an embodiment includes a light emitting element disposed on a substrate, and including a first electrode, an emission layer, and a second electrode; a low-reflective layer disposed on the light emitting element, and including an inorganic material; an encapsulation layer positioned on the low-reflective layer; a reflection adjustment layer positioned on the encapsulation layer; a capping layer positioned on the reflection adjustment layer; and an overcoat layer positioned on the capping layer.

An OLED display according to an exemplary embodiment includes: a substrate that includes a display area and a non-display area; a pixel circuit that is disposed in the display area; organic light emitting diodes and barrier ribs that are disposed on the pixel circuit; an encapsulation layer that covers the pixel circuit, the organic light emitting diodes, and the barrier ribs; and a color filter that is disposed on the encapsulation layer, wherein the encapsulation layer comprises an edge area that is adjacent to the non-display area in the display area and a center area not directly adjacent to the non-display area and having the edge area disposed therebetween, the color filter comprises a first color filter, a second color filter, a third color filter, and color filter overlapped portions where the first color filter, the second color filter, and the third color filter are overlapped, and the color filter overlapped portions are disposed in areas where the barrier ribs are disposed, and a thickness of the color filter is greater in the edge area than in the center area.

Organic light emitting diode display

Some embodiments provide a display device including a substrate having an opening area, a peripheral area surrounding the opening area, and a display area surrounding the peripheral area, a transistor and a light emitting element on the substrate, an encapsulation layer on the light emitting element, a first touch insulating layer on the encapsulation layer, an overcoat layer on the first touch insulating layer, and defining a first opening, and a cover layer filling the first opening, wherein at least one of the overcoat layer and the cover layer extends from the display area to the peripheral area, and wherein the substrate includes a depression pattern that is filled by the overcoat layer or the cover layer.

A light emitting display device includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area adjacent to the display area, a lower pad electrode disposed on the substrate in the non-display area, a lower planarization layer disposed on the lower pad electrode and including a via hole exposing an upper surface of the lower pad electrode, an upper pad electrode disposed on the lower pad electrode, the upper pad electrode being electrically connected to the lower pad electrode through the via hole, and a covering layer in contact with a side surface portion of the upper pad electrode, the side surface portion of the upper pad electrode being disposed on the lower planarization layer.
