For transmitting an uplink channel, one apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver that that communicates with a User Equipment ('UE') in a mobile communication network. The processor receives, from the UE, a first uplink channel on a first uplink resource and receiving, from the UE, a second uplink channel on a second uplink resource, where the first uplink resource and the second uplink resource at least partially overlap in time, and where the first uplink channel is for a first transmission and reception point (“TRP”) and the second uplink channel is for a second TRP, wherein the first TRP is different than the second TRP.

Identifying a resource for transmitting a first uplink channel

Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, apparatus of an evolved NodeB (eNB) comprises circuitry to configure one or more parameters for a 5G master information block (xMIB). The xMIB contains at least one of the following parameters: downlink system bandwidth, system frame number (SFN), or configuration for other physical channels, or a combination thereof. The apparatus of the eNB comprises circuitry to transmit the xMIB via a 5G physical broadcast channel (xPBCH) on a predefined resource, the xPBCH comprising a xPBCH. The xPBCH may use a DM-RS based transmission mode, and a beamformed xPBCH may be used for mid band and high band.

Physical broadcast channel design

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for resource attribute configuration. One method includes receiving a first configuration for a resource. The first configuration includes a first parameter indicating a time-domain attribute associated with the resource, and the time-domain attribute is hard, soft, and/or unavailable. The method includes receiving a second configuration for the resource. The second configuration includes a second parameter indicating a frequency-domain attribute associated with the resource, and the frequency-domain attribute is hard, soft, and/or unavailable. The method includes determining an attribute for the resource based on the time-domain attribute and the frequency-domain attribute. The attribute is hard, soft, and/or unavailable. The method includes, in response to determining that the attribute is soft: determining whether the resource is indicated as available; and performing an operation on the resource.

Resource attribute configuration

A radio resource control message comprising an indication of a random access channel preamble, a reference signal resource, or both can be received. A reference signal can be received on the reference signal resource. A random access channel preamble can be selected based at least in part on the reference signal satisfying a threshold. The selected random access channel preamble can be transmitted during a random access procedure.

Method and apparatus for random access on a wireless communication network

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for transmitting device capability information. The method includes operating a device with multiple antenna port groups for communication between the device and a network. The method includes transmitting, by the device, device capability information to the network. The device capability information includes a number of antenna port groups of the multiple antenna port groups, a number of antenna ports for each of the antenna port groups, a maximum number of supported spatial layers for each of the antenna port groups, or some combination thereof.

Methods and devices for transmitting device capability information

A PUCCH configuration including information of at least one PUCCH resource can be received () at a UE. An UL grant for at least one high-priority PUSCH can be received (). The UL grant can indicate the UE to include a CSI report in the at least one high-priority PUSCH. A particular PUSCH of the at least one high-priority PUSCH can overlap with a PUCCH resource of the at least one PUCCH resource. A determination can be made () as to whether there is UCI to transmit on the PUCCH resource. The particular PUSCH can be transmitted () according to the UL grant by including the CSI report in the particular PUSCH when there is UCI to transmit on the PUCCH resource.

Method and apparatus for transmitting information on an uplink channel

Methods and apparatus are provided, in which a downlink (DL) grant is received () triggering an aperiodic channel state information (ACSI) report and a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission being scheduled. A first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource for ACSI transmission and a second PUCCH resource for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgment (ACK) transmission corresponding to the scheduled PDSCH are determined (). A first PUCCH transmission power for the ACSI transmission using the first PUCCH resource and a second transmission power for the HARQ ACK transmission using the second PUCCH resource are determined () based on downlink control information (DCI) of the DL grant.

Aperiodic channel state information for ultra-reliable low-latency communication

An operation mode from a plurality of operation modes can be determined () based on at least one traffic type originated from a UE. The plurality of operation modes can include at least one group operation mode and an individual operation mode. The at least one group operation mode can support a plurality of UEs grouped into a group of UEs. The at least one group operation mode can support at least one network entity communicating associated messages with the group of UEs including the UE. The associated messages can be associated with the group of UEs. A network entity can be informed () of the determined operation mode.

Apparatus and method of determining an operation mode on a wireless network

The UE can switch to a RRC idle state based in part on a determination that the RRC connection suspend configuration is not included in the group RRC release message. A network entity can generate the group RRC release message with the group mobility configuration, and the group RRC release message is intended for communication to the group of multiple UEs. The network entity can then transmit the group RRC release message to the group of multiple UEs.

The configuration information can configure the UE to report a DL RS for DL reception and a DL RS for UL transmission, respectively, and the configuration information can include information of a plurality of DL RSs. The plurality of DL RSs can be measured (). A first DL RS can be selected () for DL receptions and a second DL RS can be selected for UL transmissions based on measurements of the plurality of DL RSs. An indication of the first and second DL RSs can be reported ().

Method and apparatus for reporting an indication of downlink reference signals

First information of a DL assignment for a first PDSCH of a serving cell can be received (). A first PUCCH resource and a second PUCCH resource can be identified () for HARQ-ACK feedback of the first PDSCH. A starting symbol of the second PUCCH resource can be later than a starting symbol of the first PUCCH resource. Second information of a DL assignment for a second PDSCH of the serving cell can be received (). A starting symbol of the second PDSCH can be later than a starting symbol of the first PDSCH. A determination can be made () as to whether to delay the HARQ-ACK feedback of the first PDSCH for processing of the second PDSCH. HARQ-ACK information of the first PDSCH can be transmitted () on the second PUCCH resource in response to determining to delay the HARQ-ACK feedback of the first PDSCH.

Various aspects relate to a device that receives a configured uplink grant from a base station for semi-persistent uplink transmissions, receives a configuration for a retransmission timer, receives a configuration of a next-generation NodeB (gNB) fixed frame period (FFP) for semi-static channel access in a shared spectrum, detects a downlink transmission burst within gNB-FFP, and obtains a medium access control protocol data unit for a configured uplink transmission that includes a first physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission. A communications manager establishes that a hybrid automatic repeat request process associated with the first PUSCH transmission is pending so as to preclude performance of the first PUSCH transmission in response to determinations that the first PUSCH transmission is associated with a gNB channel occupancy time (COT), there is a time gap between the downlink transmission burst within the gNB-COT, and the first PUSCH transmission is smaller than a time gap threshold.

Communication operations in a shared spectrum
