A display device includes a lower substrate and an upper substrate opposite the lower substrate; a lower electrode on the lower substrate; a bank insulating layer on the lower substrate, the bank insulating layer covering an edge of the lower electrode; a light-emitting layer on a surface of the lower electrode exposed by the bank insulating layer; an upper electrode on the light-emitting layer; a reflective pattern on the upper substrate, the reflective pattern overlapping with the bank insulating layer; and a half-mirror layer on a surface of the upper substrate exposed by the reflective pattern.

Display device having an emitting area and a reflecting area

A display device serving as a mirror in a non-display state is provided. The display device may include a reflective pattern and a half-mirror layer which are disposed on an upper substrate opposite to a lower substrate. The half-mirror layer may be disposed side by side with the reflective pattern. Thereby, a discontinuous appearance of the reflective image may be reduced, and the degradation of the reflective image due to the diffraction of the light may be prevented or reduced.

A display device includes an auxiliary electrode in order to prevent uneven brightness by the voltage drop. The display device further includes an under-cut region formed by stacked insulating layers. In the display device, the under-cut region is completely filled by filler due to changing a shape of the auxiliary electrode, so that the quality of the displaying image is improved. Also, in the display device, the contact area between an upper electrode of a light-emitting structure and the auxiliary electrode is increased, so that the reliability and the degree of integration are improved.

Display device having an auxiliary electrode

A display device capable preventing or reducing luminance unevenness due to a voltage drop using an auxiliary electrode is provided. The display device may include a bank insulating layer that forms an under-cut region for connecting the auxiliary electrode to an upper electrode of a light-emitting structure. The bank insulating layer may include a first bank penetrating hole overlapping with the auxiliary electrode and a second bank penetrating hole spaced apart from the first bank penetrating hole. The second bank penetrating hole may overlap a lower penetrating hole of a lower passivation layer which is disposed between the auxiliary electrode and the bank insulating layer. The lower penetrating hole may overlap the auxiliary electrode.

A display device according to an embodiment can include a plurality of pixel areas disposed on a lower substrate, each pixel area including a plurality of sub-pixel areas for displaying images. The display device further includes a plurality of light emitting structures disposed respectively in the sub-pixel areas of each pixel area and configured to output at least one color light, a plurality of color filters disposed correspondingly to the light emitting structures and configured to convert the at least one color light output from the light emitting structures into different color lights, and a white light emitting structure configured to output white color light, wherein the white light emitting structure covers all the light emitting structures and the color filters.
