Disclosed herein are a method for broadcast gateway signaling using a cloud network and an apparatus for the same. The method includes generating an outer packet corresponding to the outer layer of a tunneling system using an inner packet corresponding to the inner layer of the tunneling system, generating a header of the outer packet, and transmitting the outer packet to a transmitter through a Studio-to-Transmitter Link (STL). The header includes an STL propagation delay time field indicating a reception wait time for an STL stream corresponding to the outer packet.

Method for broadcast gateway signaling using cloud network and apparatus for the same

Disclosed are a dynamic multi-mode service (MMS) transmission apparatus, a dynamic MMS reception apparatus, and a method for providing a dynamic MMS. Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for converting a broadcast signal. The apparatus for converting a broadcast signal includes a demultiplexer unit for receiving a terrestrial broadcast signal and generating a terrestrial signaling signal, a signaling conversion unit for converting the terrestrial signaling signal into a cable signaling signal by parsing the terrestrial signaling signal, a cable multiplexer unit for generating a cable broadcast signal by multiplexing the cable signaling signal, and a cable modulation unit for modulating the cable broadcast signal and transmitting the cable broadcast signal over a cable network.

Provided is a method and apparatus for controlling an event of a cable modem and reporting a status of the cable modem, the method including: determining whether to periodically allocate a transmission bandwidth of a CM-STATUS message with respect to an event occurrence of the cable modem; setting an event control encoding that includes information regarding whether to periodically allocate the transmission bandwidth; and generating a MAC Domain Descriptor (MDD) message containing the event control encoding to transmit the generated MDD message.
