Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a resource for a joint uplink transmission comprising a sounding reference signal and a scheduling request. The UE may receive a grant of a set of resources for an uplink data transmission to a base station. The UE may perform the joint uplink transmission comprising the sounding reference signal and the scheduling request using the resource for the joint uplink transmission in connection with performing the uplink data transmission using the set of resources for the uplink.

Latency reduction and coverage enhancement for extended reality

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating channel state information (CSI) reports. In some aspects, downlink resources can be monitored for reception of downlink signaling, a CSI report can be generated based on the reception of the downlink signaling, where the CSI report indicates CSI for each of multiple sub-bands of the downlink resources, and the CSI report can be transmitted with hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement or negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) feedback associated with the downlink signaling to facilitate retransmission with improved block error rate (BLER). In some aspects, a base station receiving the CSI report, or otherwise based on uplink signals, can determine transmission parameters for retransmission to facilitate the improved BLER.

Techniques for providing channel quality feedback for enhanced reliability in wireless communications

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may determine that a distance between an end of a first downlink control information (DCI) and a corresponding first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and a distance between an end of a second DCI and a corresponding second PDSCH satisfy a minimum distance threshold for a user equipment (UE). The ends of the DCIs are to be received at the same symbol. The base station may transmit the first DCI, the first PDSCH, the second DCI, and the second PDSCH based at least in part on determining that the distances satisfy the minimum distance threshold. In some aspects, the UE may decode the first and second DCIs in an order that depends on DCI properties. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Decoding of physical downlink control channels ending at same symbol or different symbols

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration for an uplink message that may indicate for the UE to refrain from including DMRS in at least a first portion of the uplink message based on the DMRS configuration. The UE may encode the uplink message without the DMRS in at least the first portion of the uplink message in accordance with the DMRS configuration. The UE may transmit the uplink message based on encoding the uplink message, and a network entity may receive and decode the uplink message. In some examples, the network entity may receive signaling that includes a set of uplink messages from different UEs. As such, the network entity may decode each, using a respective Reed-Muller (RM) code in accordance with a multi-user decoding algorithm.

Demodulation reference signal configuration for uplink messages

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a client may receive an observed environmental vector feedback configuration associated with a reporting procedure for reporting updates corresponding to at least one observed environmental vector that is based at least in part on one or more features associated with an environment of the client, wherein the observed environmental vector comprises input for a first machine learning component that determines client specific parameters for use by a second machine learning component. The client may transmit an update corresponding to the at least one observed environmental vector based at least in part on the observed environmental vector feedback configuration. Observed environmental vector feedback for wireless communication

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a transport block (TB). The UE may fail to successfully decode the TB. The UE may transmit a negative acknowledgement (NACK) message based at least in part on the failing to successfully decode the TB. The NACK message may indicate a quantity of repetitions for retransmitting the TB. Numerous other aspects are described.

User equipment feedback on number of repetitions needed for decoding

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Feedback information associated with decoding downlink information may be reported in a first stage and a second stage. A size of the second stage may be restricted by an upper limit associated with an available set of uplink resources for transmitting the feedback information. Limiting the size of the second stage may include reducing a size of second information generated for the second stage, yielding third information for the second stage. The third information may be transmitted with first information generated for the first stage. Limiting the size of the second stage may also include generating second information having a reduced size based on determining that the upper limit may be exceeded. The reduced-size second information may be transmitted with the first information.

Two-stage feedback procedures

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration signal indicating one or more reference signal resource sets, the one or more reference signal resource sets comprising at least a first subset of reference signal resources associated with a first reference signal switching configuration and a second subset of reference signal resources associated with a second reference signal switching configuration. The UE may receive a trigger signal activating at least the first reference signal switching configuration or the second reference signal switching configuration. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the trigger signal, reference signals according to the first subset of reference signal resources or second subset of reference signal resources.

Support of flexible sounding reference signal switching capability

A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE). The UE encodes a first uplink control information (UCI) payload of a first priority level to generate a first codeword. The UE modifies the first codeword based on a second UCI payload, wherein information about the second UCI payload is conveyed via a modification of the first codeword. The UE transmits an uplink channel comprising the first codeword and carrying information for the second UCI payload. A base station receives an uplink channel from the UE, comprising a first codeword for a first UCI payload having a first priority level and having a modification that conveys information for a second UCI payload having a second priority level. The base station decodes the second UCI payload based at least in part on the information conveyed based on the modification.

UCI multiplexing for different levels of reliability

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for controlling access and use of network resources and services by user equipment based on user equipment capabilities. In one aspect, a method for wireless communication by a network entity, includes: receiving, from a user equipment, a request to connect to a network, the request comprising a user equipment identifier and a reduced capability indication; determining a validity of the reduced capability indication based on at least one of: subscription data associated with the user equipment; or one or more capabilities associated with the user equipment; and making a connection decision based on the validity of the reduced capability indication.

Restricted access and use control for user equipment with reduced capabilities

Disclosed are techniques for communication. In an aspect, a first UE determines information (e.g., from an external device, or via the first UE's own energy sensing) associated with scheduled uplink transmissions on a set of symbols by a second UE. The first UE performs measurements on at least some of the scheduled uplink transmissions during a first subset of the set of symbols where no DL signals are received by the first UE. The first UE receives at least one DL signal during a second subset of the set of symbols, and mitigates interference associated with the at least one DL signal based on the measurements.

Mitigation of interference at a first user equipment based on information of scheduled uplink transmissions by a second user equipment

The described techniques enable repeated physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble transmissions across multiple random access occasions (ROs) using a same spatial filter. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a PRACH preamble across multiple ROs, where each RO is associated with a same synchronization signal block (SSB) or channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS). The PRACH repetitions may be transmitted in ROs in accordance with a first mapping rule: first, in increasing order of frequency resource index; second, in increasing order of a time resource index; third, in increasing order of PRACH slot indices; and fourth, in increasing order of PRACH association period indices. Additionally, or alternatively, the PRACH repetitions may be transmitted in ROs in accordance with a second mapping rule: first, in increasing order of time resource index; second, in increasing order of PRACH slot indices; and third, in increasing order of PRACH association period indices.

Resource mapping for random access repetitions using a same spatial filter

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to maintain phase coherence for repetitions of uplink channel transmissions across slot boundaries. One example method includes receiving, from a network entity, configuration information identifying a time domain duplexing (TDD) slot pattern and a phase coherence configuration to apply to repetitions of uplink channel transmissions that cross slot boundaries for consecutive uplink slots in the TDD slot pattern, receiving scheduling information scheduling a plurality of repetitions of an uplink channel transmission across one or more slot boundaries, and transmitting the plurality of repetitions of the uplink channel transmission based on the TDD slot pattern and phase coherence configuration identified in the configuration information.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a downlink control information message including an indicator that dynamically indicates bundling of one or more feedback messages. The UE may determine a bundled feedback based on the indicator. In some examples, the UE may determine the bundled feedback from a set of feedback messages corresponding to a set of downlink data messages. The bundled feedback may include fewer feedback bits than a number of feedback bits included in the set of feedback messages. The UE may then transmit the bundled feedback based on bundling being enabled by the indicator.

Dynamic bundling for feedback

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, first signaling identifying a configuration for a set of wake up occasions associated with an active state of the network entity. The UE may transmit, to the network entity, a wake up signal to transition the network entity from an inactive state to the active state based on the configuration for the set of wake up occasions. The UE may receive, from a network entity, second signaling identifying a cell active time during which the network entity remains in the active state. Numerous other aspects are described.
